The Alexa Chung for AG Jeans fall 2015 campaign gives a clear hint that the collection will be focused on creating a wearable line. And Alexa herself confirmed this when she told the reporters that she challenged herself to “create an essential denim wardrobe”.
Unlike Chung’s first collaboration with AG Jeans, this collection seems to come up more grown-up because of the lack of any striped details on the denim. In fact, it is not just about denim, there is a quiet feminine skirt with an elegant shirt on the campaign. The first look of the campaign, seductive as it is, is a combination of a black high-waisted skirt and a khaki blouse. The set is infused with an intentionally old-fashioned jacket and a pair of manly boots. All of this is well played with the dark colors of the look to match for the perfect choice for almost every occasion.
The second look of the campaign – overalls with long sleeves and short bottoms – is the denim’s solo game. The classic blue color of jeans is a nice way to mark the deliberate old-fashioned style. The prominent accessory in the form of a chain-bracelet, being the only accessory of the look, emphasizes the delicate slimness of the model’s hands. This is the set that a nonconformist girl would put on when heading to the most exciting pubs of the town.
The third set is perfect for a date, a meeting, a dinner party, a walk through the park – you name it! It once more states that true genius is in simplicity. The seemingly innocent skirt fools you around with a delicious surprise in a form of a high split, from times to times showing off your leg. The baggy top works great with the pronouncedly provocative fishnet pantyhose. And the delicate, yet rough heels complete this dark, yet playful look.
