Glam luxe seemed to be the concept for Stefano Pilati, who turned up the volume for Yves Saint Laurent’s spring 2012 collection with jewel tones, flirty silhouettes and plunging necklines. As it could have been expected, elegant ensembles were the main ingredients in the Yves Saint Laurent spring/summer 2012 collection. Flawless structural details, alluring tones and style variety were the dominant attributes that made the outfits so memorable. Deep V necklines, oversized jackets, sexy jumpsuits, fitted skirts and contrasts through proportions are the main style trends for the upcoming season, according to the luxury label’s vision.
Color wise, alluring hues, such as forest green, rich purple and blue tones, fuchsia, pink or gold tones came to spice things up with a luxurious touch and make every and each look easily recognizable. Although there were also some prints used, the most exciting options were found in much simpler and more intuitive combinations. All the polished looks were stylishly accessorized with gold-toned loafers, high sexy platforms, and trendy pumps. For the finale, the catwalk got flooded with sparkling black gowns that shined like bright stars in the night sky. No wonder, the Yves Saint Laurent spring 2012 collection dazzled!
