Finally, the most anticipated glam lingerie fashion show of the year, the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, took place at the Lexington Avenue Armory in New York City, on November 9, 2011, and it was certainly as breathtaking and gorgeous as ever! So colorful, so full of emotions and so much expected, the amazing Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2011 showcased some really incredibly sexy and feminine lingerie styles that will certainly make any woman feel like a million bucks. Some of the hottest and most beautiful models in the world, the Victoria’s Secret Angels walked down the runway, flaunting their flawless bodies and wonderful underwear, spiced up with catchy details. Victoria’s Secret Show is one of the biggest and most luxurious events of the year, so it was no surprise that the most renowned and famous celebrities from the entertainment and fashion industry were present during the show. To keep the atmosphere in high temperatures, world-famous musician Kanye West and Victoria’s Secret Angel Anne Vyalitsyna’s boyfriend Adam Levine together with Maroon 5 performed some of their best hits, while the models were walking down, demonstrating their ideal bodies.
This year, gorgeous hottie Miranda Kerr was the star of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2011, as the honor of wearing the most expensive bra, was given to her. La piece de la resistance was the trademark diamond encrusted bra that Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr demonstrated proudly, while her husband Orlando Bloom was cheering her and gave her standing ovations. The $2.5 million Fantasy Treasure Bra in a delicate blue color was matched with a tiny thong decorated with a bow. Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and a fantastic shell-shaped structure embellished with pearls and beads behind Miranda’s back completed the luxurious look.
Other models at the 2011 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show also demonstrated stunning lingerie pieces, accessorized with Angel wings and other impressive details. Chanel Iman wore a pink tutu and neon wings. Adriana Lima made her appearance in a sexy violet lingerie set trimmed with lace, accompanied by huge raven-colored wings. Candice Swanepoel looked like a real princess from a fairy tale, sporting a pure white skirt, lacy blouse and golden wings.
Besides the Victoria’s Secret Angels, 15 new girls had also been invited for the show. However, this time Karolina Kurkova, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Isabeli Fontana didn’t take part in the glam event. Instead we could see gorgeous Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls, Karmen Pedaru, Sui He, and Cameron Russell.
As it could have been expected, this year the designs drew inspiration from various sources, such as the seas, as there were several mermaid inspired styles presented. Other enchanting designs included dark/white angel styles, superhero styles, retro chic styles, ballerina inspired designs as well as vintage salon girls lingerie creations. The emblematic Victoria’s Secret wings mesmerized throughout the show, coming in various catching forms, such as butterfly and elf glassy wings, black devil and neon wings, angel wings in different color gammas and more. The looks were finished off with gracious trails and tutus of various shades, high-heels shoes and thigh-high boots, but also fab accessories and jewelry, stockings, from sexy laced black and white ones to funky striped colored ones, umbrellas and superman capes.
