Victoria Beckham Spring/Summer 2012 – New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week has revealed some of the hottest fashion trends for the next season and the vivid theme in most of the collections presented during this amazing show has been femininity and sophistication. Each of the collections brings a touch of freshness through new, incredible designs and one of the fashion designers, who has impressed a lot is Victoria Beckham. She finally presented her first complete fashion line for Spring/Summer 2012, once again proving her great designing talent and unique style.

The new Victoria Beckham Spring/Summer 2012 collection seems to radiate that confidence Victoria sports with every single appearance. Apparently, she was inspired by her husbands’ tips, since the collection features kind of sportswear vibe, unlike her usual well-fitting dresses. It looks like the designer had just stepped down from the pedestal and created simple, easy dresses with enough room for your body to move and just the right amount of details, such as zippers or visible seaming. Straying away from the new season’s prints, Victoria gave preference to color blocks, monochromatic looks and gorgeous metallic shades. The only embellishments were practical webbed straps and super-stylish bags, this time block colored in orange and navy.
“I don’t think you can but smile when you see these clothes,” the designer said, while cuddling her 2-month-old daughter, Harper.
Just the right thing for the “It” girls, this incredible fashion line, simply titled Victoria, features fabulous lines, as if inspired from the Mod, as well as techno scene. Nevertheless, the collection doesn’t fail to preserve the same elegant, ultra feminine vibe, typical of Victoria’s signature style. Harmoniously combining urban style and elegance, the collection places a strong stress on structured details, crisp dresses, vibrant color insertions, cool fabrics as well as sportswear and elegant item combinations. For a more vivid emphasis of the pieces, Victoria used thigh high patent and ankle leather leggings worn over classy high heel pumps, as well as gorgeous oversized handbags. The cute engineer caps, created in collaboration with Stephen Jones, provided the edgy attitude of the fashion collection, injecting some interest into the overall looks. Colors used promise to become the favorites of many fashionizers, mainly consisting of orange, black and navy, in addition with grey and creamy hues. The footwear was also quite impressive. Departing from the usual platforms and boots, Victoria opted for practical flats, also sharp pointed toes together with leather ankle cuffs from Christian Louboutin.
From midi body conscious dresses to powerful minis and elegant floor length cocktail dresses, fab constructed externally attached creep skirts, drop-waist tennis dresses, sporty jackets with zips and hoods, as well as lovely trenches, Victoria Beckham’s spring/summer 2012 collection was on the top, so browse through the new fantastic designs and make a quick selection of your new season favorites.
