Stella McCartney Spring 2012 – Paris Fashion Week

An effortless femininity and a subtle sporty vibe filled the Stella McCartney catwalk during Paris Fashion Week, once again mesmerizing everyone with a relaxed, yet classy collection. The amazing Stella McCartney spring 2012 collection is another minimal luxe line from the talented designer, which takes us away on a captivating, modern voyage without underestimating all those remarkable shapes and details that made McCartney famous. Loose-fitting silk tops, classy trousers and slip ladies dresses brought a sense of ease to the Parisian catwalk during the McCartney spring 2012 show.

“Summer! And a real celebration of energy … And fitness!” Stella McCartney said, speaking about her new gorgeous line. For spring/summer 2012, the renowned British designer once again had understated luxe as a fashion concept in her mind and the result is a stunning mixture of feminine and masculine, romantic and daring, clean and modern lines. However, the most fascinating part was the combination of bold prints and patterns, which hinted that the designer still had the beautiful mix of paisley, dots and waves on the brain, after her last season’s collection.
With gorgeous models Natalia Vodianova and Miranda Kerr walking down the runway and with all those charming, unconventional combinations of prints and patterns, but also with the definite sporty and daring, yet sexy and romantic touches, the McCartney show simply dazzled the audience at Paris Fashion Week. “It’s very much a celebration of the season. I tend to do prints, I’m a lover of prints, but for this season we wanted to use quite familiar nondescript prints and play with their scale and have them as a way of introducing color,” McCartney said.
Despite the daring mix and match of paisley, check prints, geometric motifs and playful polka dots, the Stella McCartney spring 2012 collection features a certain delicacy and sharpness, when it comes to the amazing designs. Silk, chiffon, crepe de chine, mesh, organic cotton, knits, napa leather, vegetable suede were the fabrics used, which brought a delicate touch to the entire line. The color palette included timeless blacks and whites, but also red and cobalt blue in dazzling mixtures. There were wide-leg pants matched with asymmetrical blouses, relaxed pajamas, mesh mini cocktail dresses, blazers, oversized polo shirts, jackets, shorts, skirts, jumpsuits, as well as sandals, colorful sunglasses, bags and clutches.
No wonder, the Stella McCartney spring 2012 collection is going to be the deal in the new season, when it comes to effortless stylish looks with a definite theme.
