No matter how careful you are, sometimes your makeup products can go through unfortunate accidents. And what to do? Throw away the broken products? Certainly no! At least, if they are not outdated. There are numerous ways to fix beauty products and, especially if you use only expensive and quality ones, that’s just a pity to toss them away. Moreover, you can mix various colors and shades with each other and experiment with your products, acting like a real pro. So take a look at these great simple tricks to fix your beauty products and use them for a long time!
Here are a few great tricks to follow:
Make lipstick tones lighter
This is an amazing trick, if you want to create new, dramatic lipstick tones. Take a small amount of lipstick, smear it on your palm and blend it well with some liquid concealer. The tone depends on the quantity of the concealer: the more it is, the lighter your new lipstick will be. You can apply it on your lips using a simple makeup brush.
Transform a tone
Sometimes you may not like a tone. Instead of throwing away the “wrong” item, you can act in a more creative way. Mix it with some other tone. Who knows, maybe you’ll get a new brilliant shade.
Liven up concealer/blusher
If you concealer hasn’t expired yet, but looks less than stellar, add a little eye cream or foundation to it to revive it. You can follow the same trick for overly pigmented blushes. Just blend them with some transparent powder and get a softer version.
Shattered powder eyeshadow fix
This is something that hardly anyone can avoid. So when your eyeshadow powder is shuttered, add a few drops of rubbing alcohol to the compact. Then, with a butter knife, try to smooth the powder back into the shape. Leave it to dry well, before using it.
Stiff nail polish lid fix
If you forgot about one nail polish color and then wanted to wear it again, you might have the unpleasant surprise to see that you can’t open the bottle anymore. To fix this, take a bowl filled with warm water and place your nail polish into it, upside down. Leave it there for five minutes. Then, try to open it again. If there is some dried excess on the bottle, remove it with a paper towel or use tweezes. And here you go!
