Sass & Bide “King of Plenty” 2011/2012 Eyewear Collection

Brightly colored feathers, a gaggle of beautiful models, a simple, yet effective layout peculiar to Andy Warhol style and fantastic sunglasses designs together talk of the amazing campaign for King of Plenty – the new eyewear collection from Sass & Bide. So cheerful, so full of life and so amazing, the latest Sass & Bide “King of Plenty” ad campaign inspires voguish fashionizers to make a real fashion statement with a pair of unique, alluring and chic sunglasses.
No one will deny that sunglasses play an essential role in one’s image. They not only serve for protecting your eyes from the harmful sun rays, but also add a certain amount of glamour and elegance to your look, therefore you should pay much attention to the type of sunglasses you choose. Your eyewear should boost your beauty and should correspond to your personality, revealing your style taste and interests.

If you haven’t been able to find the matchy sunglasses for you so far, you should rejoice now, as our favorite Australian brand Sass & Bide continues to grow its ever-evolving aspect, this time releasing their debut collection of sunglasses. Titled King of Plenty, the new Sass & Bide eyewear collection, focuses on strong lines, impressive details, modern silhouettes combined with vintage notes. With a rich variety of designs and subtle shapes available, the collection appeals to a broad range of ages, looks and personal tastes.
Ranging from classic styles, like the timeless aviator design, to statement pieces, the first 10-piece Sass & Bide eyewear collection for 2011-12 brings a rich variety of forms and colors to choose from – from tortoise to leopard print, round rims to lasercut trims, and statement design being the hexagonal red frames. Each pair featured in the collection fits with the brand’s eclectic aesthetics, each design is etched with a symbol of the creative duo Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton’s friendship, a small star featured on the tip of every pair, as an ode to the tattoo the designers share with each other to symbolize their friendship.

Some members of the Sass & Bide creative team, including Pip Edwards (senior creative & accessories designer), Samantha De Kauw (marketing manager), Georgina Rex (art director), Clementine Maconachie (visual merchandising manager) and “Mecks” (pr/marketing co-ordinator) joined Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton in front of the camera to model the collection for the sunny lookbook of the label. The energy, the neon, the nude lipstick alongside with the amazing eyewear create a fresh and brightening atmosphere, making us wish to own every single piece they’ve got on.
Sass & Bide’s King of Plenty sunglasses collection will be released in Australian boutiques in September, marking the start of the summer. Keep your eyes open in stores nationwide.
