Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for Harper’s Bazaar US December 2011

The world was just mesmerized by the natural beauty and impeccable body of gorgeous supermodel turned actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, when she decided to rock one of the hottest trends of the upcoming warm season for Harper’s Bazaar US, the December 2011 issue. The super hottie demonstrates the beauty of chic tribal prints in the photoshoot for the magazine, but also gives an exclusive interview revealing that she was not so good looking and was even ugly in high school, but also she talks about her first job, her VS Angel wings and acting. Learn more next!

Wearing some of the hottest designer outfits of the season with tribal motifs, Rosie Huntington shows off her modeling skills, beauty and sensuality. As soon as spring arrives, it’s never too much when it comes to prints, and Rosie demonstrates this chic trend through the best creations of some of the world renowned designers, such as Burberry Prorsum, Bottega Veneta, Giorgio Armani and others.
You may think that one of the most beautiful women in the world, stunning supermodel and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley probably had the world at her knees as a teenager, yet as the ‘Transformers 3” hottie reveals things weren’t so great for her then. Although you may not so much believe in it, she confesses that she was quite the Ugly Betty as a teenager. Rosie tells Harper’s Bazaar that “I was a bit of an Ugly Betty when I was 15.”
Actually, Rosie Huntington got her first job at a modeling agency not as a model, but as an intern and her responsibility was “getting coffee, lighting people’s cigarettes.” Yet just a few months later an agent noticed her potential to become a great model and booked her for her first modeling job. According to the English beauty, she turned up at castings “in trainers, with braids, a ton of makeup, plucked eyebrows. I had braces.”

Things got a whole different turn, when she turned 18 and scored a modeling deal with the world famous Victoria’s Secret brand. Rosie says that she loves parading with the VS Angel wings and that she’d like to wear them at a party someday. She tells Harper’s Bazaar: “I’d love to wear them (the wings) for a fancy-dress party sometime. People assume I have wings hanging all over my house, but that is not the case. It’s still such a huge thing for a model. People kind of laugh about it and think it’s irrelevant, but I don’t know a girl in the world who would put those wings on and not feel, just for a split second, very special.”
On the quick transition she recently made, going from the runway to the movie sets, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley says: “It’s interesting coming from modelling, where women rule the industry, into one where there are so few great female parts and the competition is so much higher.”
The VS Angel even reveals her secret to acting, saying that a quote from coach Stella Adler can definitely support you a lot: “You have to have the skin of a rhinoceros’—just let go of everything.”
Check out Rosie Huntington Whiteley in the next issue of Harper’s Bazaar.
