Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Ryan Reynolds for M&S Campaign

With golden fall already here, fall campaigns start to appear everywhere, and all famous brands try to attract their customers’ attention by choosing super popular celebrities as the faces of their brands and by creating eye-catching campaigns. High-end British retailer Marks and Spencer is also following this strategy for the new Fall/Winter 2011/2012 Autograph collection turning to Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds and beautiful supermodel/actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who has also recently appeared in the uber-successful Burberry Body Ad Campaign. The choice is no wonder the best, as the two look extremely classy and refined together and fully highlight the brand’s mission.


M&S executive director Steve Sharp reveals the main reason why they chose this celebrity duo as their new faces: “Rosie and Ryan are the perfect fit for Autograph—beautiful, exclusive, and absolutely contemporary. On set, they worked together to deliver a mesmerizing performance which allowed us to capture shots that literally sizzle with excitement and an air of mystery.”
Ryan Reynolds seems to be thrilled to work for a brand he loved ever since he was a child: “I was thrilled when M&S asked me to be in their campaign and Rosie was a pleasure to work with. I’m from Canada and grew up with the M&S brand. Going into an M&S store with my family or friends always gives me a beautiful pang of nostalgia. The Autograph collection is a modern take on the classic style I love and feel most comfortable wearing. The pieces in this collection are lasting staples that’ll never go out of style.”
In turn, Rosie stated that she is extremely excited to work with the well-known British brand: “I am extremely excited to be working with M&S on the new Autograph Autumn 2011 campaign. I feel proud to be associated with a British high street favorite that holds fond memories for so many people, particularly the Autograph brand. The collection is sophisticated, elegant, and effortless, which I hope to embody in my own personal style.”


The collection includes men’s and women’s clothing pieces for the fall season, such as trendy jackets and trenches, coats, and jeans. Shot by photographer Greg Williams at the St Pancras Grand in London, the new campaign of the Autograph collection perfectly embodies the elegance the brand is trying to highlight. Rosie looks absolutely adorable in retro-chic sexy outfits and Ryan Reynolds looks like a true gentleman. The two feature In the campaign so flawlessly that we start to think they have stared in a movie together.
This is not the only surprise from the brand. Actually, British male model David Gandy will be the face of the 2011 Collezione collection for the brand, while Lisa Snowdon, Jamie Redknapp and Twiggy will continue to star in the ads that will be released in the upcoming months.
