Sunglasses have always played an important role in one’s style, having two important features – first they protect your eyes against harmful sunrays and second they can add a unique, glamorous touch to your overall look. This is one of the reasons many renowned labels refer to sunglasses constantly and designer Roberto Cavalli wanted to ensure that in 2012 you have a few statement pieces with vintage details upgraded to suit the newest trends.
The Roberto Cavalli brand is best known as an embodiment of sophistication and luxury and the latest sunglasses collection for spring/summer 2012 signed Roberto Cavalli and Just Cavalli certainly meet these characteristics. To achieve the desired effect, the world-famous designer, who licenses his eyewear collections with The Marcolin Group, drew inspiration from the label’s first eyewear line, which was launched yet in 1999, and which contains all the details that best characterize the Cavalli brand.
Maurizio Marcolin from The Marcolin Group told WWD that the new Cavalli sunglasses collection is all about every beauty code of the legendary label. He said: “All the aesthetic codes of the brand — such as the animal prints, the snake inspiration and goldsmith’s art — are now a leitmotif across all styles. The collection has been very well received in the market for the new and original contemporary shapes complementing the sophisticated appeal of the Roberto Cavalli brand.”
The upgraded Roberto Cavalli sunglasses collection 2012 features classic styles with lots of contemporary details and shapes. The new chic line retails from $360 to $450 and is currently available at Cavalli and Just Cavalli boutiques, while retailers such as Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom will have the collection starting February 2012.
