It’s not the first time we can admire Rihanna’s great taste in fashion, as the young diva has managed to shake the fashion world with her daily style makeovers and even get the title of a style icon. She is beautiful, talented and it’s no surprise that various world-famous fashion labels choose exactly her to represent their products. This, however, seems not to be enough for her, as Rihanna plans to give her fans the opportunity to not only copy her style, but also wear clothes she herself designed. Surprising news? Not actually, as we are talking about Rihanna!
Actually, Rihanna has already made her first steps in the designing world by collaborating with Emporio Armani and designing a capsule collection of jeans and tees. Now, she decided to join hands with British retailer River Island. There are no details released about this exclusive collaboration, but both River Island and Rihanna seem to be thrilled to work together.
Rihanna commented on this collaboration, saying that: “I’ve been wanting to design my own collection for some time. River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British, family run business also really appealed to me. I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I’m looking forward to working with them and creating something really special.”
River Island chief executive Ben Lewis commented back: “We are thrilled to be collaborating with Rihanna and to be the first fashion brand to work with her in this way. Rihanna is a style icon, from street to chic she enjoys her fashion. As soon as we started to work together we knew this was a perfect fit. Rihanna will be designing the collection and we will be sharing our fashion experience with her to develop a range her fans will love.”
We can’t do anything else but wait to see what the Rihanna for River Island collection will look like!
