Seems like simply modeling for the Armani Jeans and Underwear line wasn’t enough for Rihanna, and now the young diva wants to try her hands at designing for this giant fashion house. After her first signature fragrance’s success and already on the way to launch her second scent, Riri has apparently decided to leave her mark on the fashion industry as well, and her debut in this sphere is really impressive, as after all she has chosen Armani! Let’s take a peek and appreciate her designing talent!
Rihanna has teamed up with Emporio Armani to expand her super-profitable collaboration with the legendary brand and show her fans how it’d look like if she went shopping with them. Thus she has come to join the long list of talented celebrities, who have already left their personal note on the fashion industry, like Beyoncé, Jessica Simpson or Jennifer Lopez.
“Hugely talented and extremely feminine, Rihanna is known for her amazing verve and incredible energy – qualities which make her the perfect choice to project and interpret the youthful, modern and captivating spirit of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. Positive with a slightly rock feel, fabulously sexy with a strong masculine edge,” Emporio Armani spokesperson stated about Rihanna.
Set to be released in mid-November 2011, Rihanna’s capsule collection for Armani much characterizes the singer’s personality and comes to feature that sexiness and good-girl-gone-bad attitude, Riri is famous for. She as if designed the base of every single wardrobe, including stylish T-shirts with abstract animal prints, her abstract face sketch and her R logo for a more modern effect, as well as a line of jeans-wear, comprising tight boy cut and skinny styles. For a seductive touch, she has also designed body hugging biker jackets, which look much in tone with the rest of the outfits.
Since lingerie is the base of any stylish look, Riri has not overlooked its importance and created a few lingerie pieces, which in contrast with the sexy outfits, surprisingly come toned down and modest, featuring classy colors, like navy and pearl. Well, at least she has tried, so let’s not be too strict in judging and wait and see what fruit Riri’s debut collection will bear!
