On the closing day of Paris Fashion Week show the American designer Marc Jacobs presented his 2011 Spring/Summer collection for Louis Vuitton. The famous fashion designer’s collection for the upcoming season is very loud, unique, full of energy and colorful.
Marc Jacobs’s models were featuring tigers, zebras, cheetahs, pandas and big cats, wearing the glamorous clothes from wonderful shiny fabrics and with animal prints. The vibrant color combinations seemed to be very bold, containing some scary trait in them. He presented a series of knit dresses, dresses from multicolored shiny fringe fabric and casual dresses with floral prints and square sleeves.
The designer handbags were mainly clutches and small shoulder bags of various bright colors, perfectly suited with the gorgeous, glamorous dresses. There were also some bags of extraordinary shapes with long chain straps.
According to fashion.telegraph.co.uk, the designer stated backstage, that he wanted a total camp glamour, clothes for the extrovert; chinoiserie, the 1920s, everything that Paris stands for. Jacobs confessed that he had been inspired by the early Japanese designers, such as Kenzo Takada and Kansai Yamamoto.
Jacobs himself came out wearing black pants and black silk satin shirt, taking a bow in front of the applauding audience. As always, his collection was again a great success.
