Nina Ricci Spring 2012 – Paris Fashion Week

After so many masculine inspired collections demonstrated at the beginning of Paris Fashion Week, femininity once again gets revitalized in the collections of world-famous brands, like Nina Ricci. A beautiful blend of sophistication and femininity with a certain classic vibe and vivid seductiveness were the key attributes of the sweet Nina Ricci spring 2012 collection, unveiled at Paris Fashion Week. Drawing inspiration from the textile work of Zina de Plagny, Peter Copping, the creative designer for Nina Ricci, delivered a wonderful showing of elegant, ladylike dresses with lingerie undertones in textures of lace, leather jackets and crystal appliqué. The result was just bewitching, so take a look and get a beautiful Nina Ricci makeover for the upcoming season!

As designer Peter Copping puts it, the latest designs in the Nina Ricci spring 2012 collection are “Very chic, very French” and adds that he took inspiration from haute couture: “Sixties couture, if you like”. With classic silhouettes deriving from the ‘60s style and Ricci’s archives, and with utterly elegant and feminine ensembles that simply lured the audience, it is more than evident that the designer’s message reached the destination. Embracing shades of classic nobility, the Nina Ricci woman steps into spring in egg-shaped, straw enclosure hats that come to harmoniously accomplish Copping’s sweet creations.
Talking about prints, florals with a nice retro touch are the main style trend used by the designer. Comparing this motif with many other collections presented during the Fashion Week, we see that Copping brought a more modest approach, when it comes to prints and color combos. However, the Nina Ricci spring/summer 2012 collection is far from being conservative, but it rather inclines towards sensuality and well-defined seductiveness, the vivid example of which is the focus on lingerie-like structures and the sheerness of many pieces.
With so many collections concentrating on mid-length skirts and dresses, we can easily conclude that this trend is definitely going to be a huge hit in the upcoming months. With a high dose of ladylike elegance and subtlety, this trend proudly comes to replace daring short dresses, which can hardly be considered flattering by some women.
The line of evening dresses was equally gorgeous, consisting mainly of simple sheen details that immediately stand out and impress with their refined character. If femininity and sensuality are the main goals for you in terms of fashion and style, be sure that the Nina Ricci spring 2012 collection can certainly become your favorite in the upcoming season!
