She is a talented singer, a sexy woman and a real style icon. Beautiful Nicole Scherzinger has been announced as the new brand ambassador for trench-coat label London Fog. The 33-year-old hottie, who is also an X Factor judge, will replace gorgeous Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks and will star in the holiday and spring 2012 ad campaigns of the brand. On their choice, Dari Marder, chief marketing officer at Iconix Brand Group, which owns London Fog, told WWD that, “Christina Hendricks was fantastic for us, but she was more classic and tailored. Nicole is a little more modern and contemporary. She has a really fierce sense of style. With ‘X Factor,’ this is her moment and it brings the brand to the forefront of the consumer’s mind.”
Founded in 1923, London Fog’s coats and accessories are constantly updated with uber-fashionable and timeless pieces to meet the demands of fashion-forward women.
Previously stunning Gisele Bündchen and Eva Longoria also modeled for the high-end brand. “I love trenchcoats and London Fog coats are timeless,” Nicole said.
The first photos of the campaign have already been released, in which Nicole looks simply incredible wearing the brand’s coats and accessories. The print ads will be featured in glossy and lifestyle magazines, such as InStyle, Cosmopolitan and People StyleWatch. In November, an outdoor campaign will be unveiled in 6 to 10 markets, including New York and Los Angeles. A digital component will be added to the new London Fog e-commerce site that launched in the U.S. in September. Scherzinger will also push the brand on her Twitter and Facebook pages.
