The spring/ summer 2013 season was filled with all sugary pastel colors and eye-feasting neon hues. That was just such a fun to wear such colorful pieces. Especially amazing were these colors on the beach. As the cold season arrived, it, as expected, brought with it much subdued shades, such as burgundy, eclectic blue, brown, black, dark green and the like. The sweet time of pastels and neon hues finished right here, yet some fashionziers were so much in love with them that couldn’t say goodbye their colorful pieces. And here comes one question: can I wear pastel and neon colors this winter? So the answer is – why not?! Below we suggest ways to sport these colors in winter 2013.
Who said that winter styling is only about gloomy shades. You can also successfully sport pastels and neons in cold months. What you have to do though is change your styling techniques. For wearing pastels for instance, you should try to make them appear less sweet. For this, match your pastels with darker shades, liek black. Or directly choose pastel colored pieces that have the shade of black in them. Wear these pieces with neutral colors and you are done. However, be sure to choose just one clothing piece in pastel shades. If in summer, you could go pastel color blocking, in winter though it’s not a good idea. You’ll look like an ice-cream that has escaped from summer and got lost in winter.
As for the neon colors, be more craful with these shades in winter. Here, you’d better experiment with neon accessories. Choose a single bracelet in a neon color and brighten up your gloomy outfits. Or else, you can choose a neon colored outerwer, like a coat! That will definitely look hot on the background of white snow!
Last but not least, keep in mind that colors have their seasons. So why not benefit from wintery hues, and leave these shades for the summer to come?
