Guess what! Marc Jacobs is about to launch a new beauty line which will be available from August 8! This upcoming makeup line, made by Sephora seems promising a lot more than we expected!
“I am beyond excited for the launch of Marc Jacobs Beauty. The packaging is so seductive, so cool. The colors are gorgeous and inspiring and the formulas and textures invite you to ‘make-up’,” Jacobs said.
Also as Marc Jacobs told Women’s Wear Daily: “The ritual of waking up and making those choices is something people really enjoy. We currently are working on defining what Marc Jacobs cosmetics will be, what they’ll say, what makes them distinctive. I think that will take some time, but the first meeting was good.”
Well, the designer also added that until then he will release a new summer scent: ‘Honey’, which will be available in July only at Sephora. As Jacobs mentioned the notes of the new scent are: fruit punch, mandarin, green pear, orange blossom, honeysuckle, peach nectar and base notes of honey, smooth woods and vanilla.
Of course, this doesn’t put the news about Marc Jacobs’ beauty line on a second plan at all. The designers seem pretty excited too, as Jacobs says: “I always wonder, ‘Is there really going to be something else [other than fashion] that we’re going to do that I’m going to sit through and enjoy?’ I get jaded, then I get excited all over again,”
In fact as he mentions: “I see make-up, fragrance – everything, really – as an opportunity. The idea of choosing a color for your lip, or an eyeliner – it’s just such a delight. The ritual of waking up and making those choices is something people really enjoy.” He also unveiled a few details about his makeup line. “The Magic Marc’er Precision Pen Eye Liner is the deepest, glossiest, blackest black on the market and the Style Eye-Con No.7 palettes are each and all perfect for creating the character one feels like showing the world on any given day or night.”
