If you want your summer getaway to be filled not only with joy and fun, but also fashion and style, just take a glimpse at the latest collection of Louis Vuitton, called “Ailleurs”, which is translated as “somewhere else” from French. Louis Vuitton “Ailleurs” summer 2011 collection is full of seductive swimsuits, catchy fashion accessories and airy summer dresses, appropriate for exotic, tropical and funky vacation.
This colorful, vibrant collection was made in collaboration with British artist Pippa Cunningham, who is also the designer of the Louis Vuitton Cruise Collection 2008 St. Tropez Galliera. Pipa was the one to paint all the images, printed on the accessories, and the watercolor effect was created by a silkscreen, which is the famous printing process, peculiar to the legendary French brand. The main fashion pieces in the collection are the tote bags, coming in beach and city sizes with three prints – “Promenade”, “Escale” and “Aventure”. In fact, all the accessories have a special vibe that, as if, takes us on a sunny journey into the tropical islands.
The “Promenede” fully embodies the glamorous trait of French Riveria, where a relaxed rest under the shades of tall palm trees awakens sweet dreams and fantasies. “Escale” reflects tropical leisure on white sandy beaches, at the blue sea, under the colorful beach umbrellas with an exotic cocktail on your hand. And finally, the “Aventure” prints tell us a story about the lush tropical forests. You can find “Promenade” and “Escale” prints not only on totes, but also beach towels and scarves.
The totes are decorated with calf leather handles, the famous Louis Vuitton Inventeur plaque and golden metal details. The handbags come in two available sizes, a large one appropriate for carrying all the must have things to the beach and a smaller one for the city.
Whenever we talk about a beach holiday, we immediately recall all the must have things, among which flats may seem to be the best decision, when it comes to footwear. Louis Vuitton, however, presents a line of chunky cork platforms, capable of adding a chic finish to your look. These eye-popping sandals come in vibrant colors, such as green or blue, which will look so great with your breezy summer strapless dress.
There are also sexy two-pieces swimsuits, T-shirts, sunglasses, hats and other accessories in the collection. Louis Vuitton “Ailleurs” summer 2011 Collection will be available starting April 15th 2011.
