Lavish wedding, fame and celebrity status couldn’t save Kim’s and Kris’s marriage, which lasted only for 10 weeks or 72 days. Rumors about the couple getting divorced appeared yet last week, when Kim showed off her anger for Kris because of his reluctant approach to the Kardashian brand.
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, NBA player, started dating in October 2010. They got engaged in May 2011, and already in August 20, 2011 they got married in Montecito, southern California, holding a luxury wedding that cost them about $20 million. Only in the USA, about three million people watched special Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian event on E! earlier this month. The bride wore three $20,000 Vera Wang gowns and $400,000 worth of Perrier Jouet champagne was given for free, but also the invitations from Lehr & Black cost them $10,000. Moreover, they organized a free catering for the 500 guests, for which they had to pay more than $750,000.
However, nothing could save the couple from the disaster! What actually caused the split? According to some rumors, Kim and Kris couldn’t come to agreement on where to live; Kim wanted to be closer to her family that likes red carpet events and glam parties, while Kris wanted them to move to his native Minnesota.
“After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best,” stated Kim.

Kim has already hired top divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who has dealt with such celebrities as, Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Angelina Jolie and Ryan Reynolds. According to US Weekly, the couple will divide their assets based on their prenuptial agreement. What Kim earned before the wed are protected, and she’ll also get the assets earned during the marriage.
Previously, Kim Kardashian, an American businesswoman, television personality, socialite, model, and actress, who is the highest-paid reality stars on U.S. television, married music producer Damon Thomas in 2000 and divorced him in 2004. She also dated R’n’B singer Ray J, NFL star Reggie Bush and Dallas Cowboys player Miles Austin. Moreover she was seen with model Gabriel Aubry and allegedly had a short fling with Nick Lachey. After her divorce from Kris, we can’t, but wish Kim a true love and happiness!
