You certainly aren’t going to miss the gorgeous color blocking trend in the upcoming warm season, as far as there is the utterly colorful, bright and vibrant Kenzo spring 2012 collection. New designers at the luxury fashion house Kenzo, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, took a more youthful, sporty and streetwear inspired approach for the label’s spring/summer 2012 collection, unveiled at Paris Fashion Week. As a result, the unexpected perspective shift of the label really made a huge impression on fashion critics, but also instantly captured the hearts of the people present during the show.
With strong tones, creative layering techniques, and a beautiful plethora of abstract patterns in bold hues of electric blue, grass green and citrus orange, the Kenzo spring 2012 collection presented fairly eclectic and daring outfit pieces, as well as a wonderful mix of urban chic and elegant socialite through light spring layers and tapered pants for the upcoming sunny season. After all, what can be better than a colorful spring!
Although it’s the fairly noticeable casual vibe of the collection that instantly grasps the attention from the first sights, it’s not the exact source of inspiration for the amazing Kenzo spring/summer 2012 fashion line. “We went to upstate New York a lot, so we really were inspired by this idea of wearing work wear,” designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim declared for WWD. As the collection hints, flared pants, airy skirts or slightly boxy jackets have a great perspective to become must haves for the warm months of 2012.
Want to learn the hottest hues of the season, according to Kenzo’s vision? Well, just think red and green combos, multiple shades of blue, yellow, orange, beige, khaki and light grey, and you’ll certainly look ultimately fashion-forward in the new season. As far as accessories go, the Kenzo girl opts for geometric shaped handbags, retro sunglasses, and colorful and fairly comfortable shoes and hats.
Daring, yet with a certain conservative structure, the incredible Kenzo spring 2012 collection is a vivid proof that the high end label is growing more and more day by day, becoming a splendid source of inspiration for modern fashionizers. So take your chance and draw a piece of inspiration!
