Now, the rumors stating that Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell will perform during the closing ceremony of the event have been confirmed! Yes, fashion is everywhere and its union with sports is definitely going to be ultra-sexy and just wonderful!
Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell are two big names in the fashion industry that are able to turn any event into a big glamorous show. Seems like whatever they touch turns into gold and now they come to add a special fashionable touch to the 2012 London Olympics. Besides Moss and Campbell, Georgia May Jagger, Stella Tennant, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Lily Cole will also appear on the specially designed catwalk. The models will be dressed by Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton and the presentation most likely will be set to David Bowie’s songs “Fashion” and “Rebel Rebel.”
The catwalk presentation will be the most glamorous part of London Olympics 2012, which will be titled “A Symphony of British Music” and will feature musical performances by Queen, George Michael, Annie Lennox, Adele, The Pet Shop Boys, and One Direction, among others. A group of 300 dancers will feature on the background through choreography inspired by London at rush hour. Moreover, Russell Brand will show a comedic performance of the Sex Pistols’ “Pretty Vacant” and The Beatles’ “I Am the Walrus.” Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Elton John will also be present during the closing ceremony. Overall, the performances are being paid a fee of £1, which is about $1.55.
The closing ceremony of London Olympics is sure to bring much more pleasant surprises. The show’s organizers want to stay away from revealing too many details. “We won’t comment,” a spokesman said. “We want the lineup to be a surprise.”
