This is what Christophe Lemaire, the newishly-installed designer at Hermès, suggests for the upcoming spring/summer season. Unveiled at Paris Fashion Week, the incredibly chic Hermès spring 2012 collection features a plethora of flirty designs with a tad innocent vibe that enchanted the eyes during the show, so skim through the gorgeous outfits and draw inspiration for the new season ahead.
For the upcoming spring season, Hermès’s creative director Christopher Lemaire seems to have channeled his “inner Zen” towards designing a beautifully serene collection that much differs from Jean Paul Gaultier’s vision for the luxury brand. Extremely stylish, soft and with a high dose of innocence, the first designs perfectly defined the luxury French label’s vision over fashion. White and cream shirts, blazers, dresses and pleated skirts laid the stress on the softness and feminine vibe of the collection, while splashes of strong orange, eclectic blue, khaki, deep mauve, plum and purple tones, as well as monochrome items accentuated its soft sex appeal and subtle modern edge. The Hermès woman steps into the warm season in billowing gowns and drapery pants.
The Hermès spring/summer 2012 collection seems to be enveloped with a certain casualness due to the loose designs, which look both super comfortable and stylish. Utility vests, fab coats and blouses paired with skirts and stylish wide leg pants and shorts opened the show, while seductive items came to follow them and spice things up with a nice sex appeal. Memorable short dresses, retro straight shoulder blazers and color blocks injected a little bit of fun and interest into the overall scene.
Internationally popular for its high quality leather goods, Hermès couldn’t overlook this luxury fabric and created fabulous leather purses, jackets, vests and coats that emphasized the chicness of the collection.
