Diane von Furstenberg: Fashion in the Future

At Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City, Diane von Furstenberg did what no other designer could. She teamed up with Google to showcase the latest gadget from the Internet kingpins.
As part of DVF’s runway show, Diane von Furstenberg debuted the brand new (yet to be released) form of technology that you can wear. She sat beside Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, as the models walked down the runway wearing ‘Glass,’ which is a headpiece in the style of eyewear.

Google’s ‘Glass’ is a innovative pair of glasses with a very small camera positioned over one eye. The camera enables the person wearing the headpiece to film or photograph their view in eyesight as they continue on throughout the day.
Brin and Diane von Furstenberg both wore a pair of ‘Glass’ throughout the fashion show. Brin says, “Beauty, style and comfort are as important to Glass as the latest technology,” he added, “We are delighted to bring Glass to the runway together with DVF.”
What do you think? Is it a little too ‘Back to the Future’-ish? Or would you wear a pair of ‘Glass’ because it’s innovative and cool?
