Extremely versatile and classic, the new Chanel spring/summer 2012 collection looks simply magical. Karl Lagerfeld decorated the Grand Palais really in an exclusive way, transferring the catwalk into a real underwater world with huge corals, shells, sea horses, and stingrays. Moreover, he invited Florence Welsh to sing, perfectly setting the mood of the show, show, which looked truly sensational! Models walked down the runway in ivory, silver, salmon and sea foam pieces with crystal embellishments and abstract prints. Subtle layers of silk and chiffon accomplished the classic Chanel tweed jacket, giving it a boost of modernism and seductiveness. Beauty-wise the Chanel woman opts for slicked back hair, pink lips and cheeks, but also pearl hair ornaments, perfectly keeping the underwater theme of the collection.
Flirty feminine details, like ruffles and stylish oversized ribbons, emphasized the fun and youthful style of the Chanel spring 2012 collection, without failing to preserve the high dose of sophistication and classicism. Other details, such as stylish black lines forming random angles, pearls adorned and glittery sequins, made the sophistication much peculiar to the high-end fashion house even more explicit. Perfectly tailored jackets, classic or bolder, military inspired, paired with the classic Chanel knee length dress, skirt or stylish shorts were some of the key pieces featured in the beautiful Chanel collection. The looks were accessorized with typical Chanel bags featuring, chain handles and quilt detailing, also ones adorned with pearls, and amazing footwear.
