Best Foundation for Different Skin Types

Every woman dreams of a healthy-looking, perfect skin. Still every day you face lots of obstacles, such as stress, an unbalanced diet, smoking, incorrect beauty care routine or health problems, which are all reflected on your skin in an irritating way. You should know every single “character” of your skin type, what is good and bad for it. One of the best ways of concealing any skin problems is choosing the best foundation appropriate for your skin type. If you haven’t found the right foundation for you yet, this post is certainly going to interest you much.

Our skin is not just a barrier against external factors, but it rather reflects our inner health – the physical and mental state. If our inner health encounters problems, it’s surely reflected on our skin in a bad way. That’s the reason you should enrich your knowledge about your skin and have a correct skin care routine. Diet and hygiene are the crucial things that must be included in your daily routine, especially if you have an oily skin. Surely oily skin is quite far from the aging process, but instead it faces lots of other problems, like acne.
On the other hand, if you have a dry skin, which looks so smooth and even “transparent”, still you face even more problems connected with your skin. Unlike oily skin, dry skin demands even more care, as it easily gets wrinkles, is badly affected by too cold or too hot temperatures, pollution and aging. In this case moisturizing and nourishing creams become vital and must-to-do steps in your daily routine. However, if you are lucky enough to have normal skin type containing ideal pH, just make sure to take several basic care steps, like cleansing, moisturizing and protecting your skin against UV rays and that will be quite enough.
Knowing your skin type is necessary also while choosing the right foundation for you. Nowadays we can see numerous types of foundations at stores of different brands, qualities and for different skin types. The perfectly chosen foundation can conceal any skin problems without accentuating wrinkles, looking quite natural and transparent, harmoniously blending with your skin.

If you belong to the huge crowd of people having oily skin, you need oil-free foundation that can easily cover breakouts and make your skin breathe. Oily skin is characterized with acne breakouts, large pores and blackheads. The most shiny and oily areas of your face are around the T-zone, that is your nose, chin and forehead. The best solution is choosing a matte or semi-matte foundation. You can apply some transparent powder afterwards, as only the foundation might not provide full and long coverage. If your skin isn’t too oily, a sheer foundation, which is barely noticed on the skin, can be the best choice. In case of having oily skin, never use your fingers while applying the foundation, as this may produce even more oil: instead turn to a makeup sponge.
Those having dry skin, deal with too less oil, lacking water and sebum. Dry skin may give you the unpleasant impression of tightness, which is especially felt after washing your face. To get rid of the dull and flaky look of your dry skin, make sure to choose an oil-based and water-based foundation rich in moisturizers. Oil-based foundations are too thick and greasy and are just stunning on your dry skin, which can also easily attenuate the appearance of your wrinkles. Liquid foundations contain less moisturizer and provide your dry skin with medium coverage.
If you have a normal skin type, feel very lucky, as your skin is the closest one to perfection. You don’t have to deal with all the “nightmares” that girls with oily or dry skin face. In this case you have smaller pores, almost invisible, no breakouts and a perfect, smooth and shining skin. If you have almost perfect skin, choose a tinted moisturizer or a sheer foundation, just to change the color of your face. If you have slight issues with your T-zone, choose a semi-matte foundation.
Probably the worst case is having a sensitive skin, which is extremely keen to dryness, burning, redness, frequent breakouts and sometimes even infections. In this case your skin requires maximum attention and the best hypoallergenic and fragrance-free cosmetic products. If you have sensitive skin, choose hypoallergenic, silicone-based liquid foundation with SPF at least 15, and this will be the right solution.
