We must admit that we are absolutely in love with the latest Vero Moda spring 2012 collection thanks to the incredible, romantic touch and gorgeous Alexa Chung, who is promoting the new ad campaign of the brand. The 28-year-old model, DJ and TV presenter, who perfectly embodies the Vero Moda spirit, looks undeniably stylish and relaxed, while posing on the streets of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where she currently resides. Alexa is flaunting her mesmerizing wide eyes and long legs in the special shoot, while sporting the dreamy pieces from the brand’s latest collection.
“We chose Alexa Chung to make a statement for VERO MODA. She is an extremely fashion conscious woman and will surely provide extra focus on VERO MODA’s trend styles,” Vero Moda’s International PR and Image Responsible Katja Hundrup said.
This is the second campaign of Alexa Chung for the Danish brand after posing for the equally impressive Vero Moda fall/winter 2011 collection. The world-famous It-girl was chosen as the face of the legendary label, as she is a “fashion loving, independent young woman, who is not content being fashion-cast as only one type but will effortlessly move between looks, trends and occasions, always keen to explore the directions fashion might take her.” This is definitely the vivid truth, as she always knows what to wear everywhere, and can easily shift from one style to another, like from relaxed tom boyish styling to red carpet glamour.
The super-voguish Vero Moda spring/summer 2012 collection brings an entire cavalcade of pretty, layered dresses, pleated skirts, crisp white shirts, ankle pants, soft knits and parkas that will help you sport effortlessly cool combos. The collection is fun and youthful, but also elegant and chic with a special vintage flair. Think girlish mini dresses with Peter Pan collars and gorgeous cardigans worn with mannish oxford. When she’s not modeling for VERO MODA, Alexa Chung is occupied with all the amazing things every fashion-loving girl gets inspired from, like she works as a TV-presenter, cover-model, fashion columnist, DJ and many other interesting things.
On her ‘style icon’ status, Alexa said in an interview with Refinery29.com that, “It’s really weird, but very cool. I’m very much a cookie-cutter hipster. So, I feel a little bit bad about the fact that, essentially, I’m a hipster but I’m the only one that the rest of the world said, ‘Hey you’ve got really great style!’ But literally everyone in Williamsburg and East London has this.”
This month Alexa also debuted her new show called “24 Hour Catwalk”, in which four designers have to design an entire collection in 24 hours, while selected judges, including designer Cynthia Rowley, PR maven James LaForce, and social scribe Derek Blasberg, select the best one, who would go to the catwalk.
