Adam Lippes is the designer, who reflected all these trends into his new fashion line and dazzled everyone at New York Fashion Week with his gorgeous ADAM spring/summer 2012 collection, inspired from the view of his studio window. The collection embraces femininity through amazingly soft designs and demonstrates the power of simplicity in fashion!
“For this collection, I found my inspiration in the energy of the West Chelsea neighborhood where we have our design studio. I was mesmerized this summer watching our “runway in the sky,” the High Line…”, stated Adam Lippes in his spring/summer show notes.
Adam touched on femininity and sophistication in a cool way for his designs, all of which feature gorgeous embroideries, delicate fabrics and simple body flattering cuts. The entire collection has various influences, both masculine, sporty and vintage but in a very fun, fresh and subtle manner, letting you sport a chic look, appropriate for the modern world. He brought such new trends, as the drop waist and cape style jackets.
Without losing their grace, the gorgeous designs feature romantic polka dots, floral prints, sheer details, as well as chiffon insertions. Amazing short skirts, cropped pants, lavender silk dresses, peony silk double-breasted silk jackets with printed pants, floral cotton dresses, neons and flowery brights, whimsical silks adorned with mico-prints, micro-printed full-skirted mini dresses, casual coats, short sleeve sweatshirts and gorgeous casual dresses in timeless monochrome tones, such as black, white and grey or warm pastel tones caress everyone’s eyes.
“The juxtaposition of the strong colors of the individuals passing by against the fresh and light backdrop. This led to a feeling that this Spring should be – even more than usual – for a confident woman who knows how to make an effortless statement,” concluded the designer. “The starting point in designing every collection is the woman who wears our clothes. She appreciates the discovery in the everyday and reflects it in her personal style.”
