Yeah, I am curious what happened with her last year. As we have seen so far this year there is zero reason that her game doesn’t translate to 3-on-3. I had heard some questions about her conditioning last year which is possible. I hate to put it on that but it is really the only thing that makes any sense.

She’s definitely better this year, but the team makes a huge difference. Last years Vinyl had a lot of iso players in Arike and Rhyne and they barely passed to her. And Dearica played before her. I also don’t think TSpoon is a great coach.

I do too. I had no allegiance to the Mystics but they became my favorite WNBA team after I watched them opening night last year. I said it in the game thread but she does so many little impressive things for someone so young. She is incredibly patient in the post, not forcing things and letting the defender commit to something before she makes her finish. Late in tonight’s game you saw the layup where she was well-defended by Hamby and did a great job of protecting the ball with her body and hesitating just a fraction of a second to be able to get the ball off clean after Hamby made her block attempt So good and can’t wait to see her grow.

Aliyah Boston 1-6 3PT and Dearica Hamby 6-6 FT jump out at me. Hamby does have these hot periods; so, not that surprising. Boston should not be taking that many 3s if she’s not making them, but Unrivaled brings that out of players.

She’s not going to get better at them if she doesn’t do it in a game; part of the development. She’s already much improved from 3 vs last season. I don’t think she would have been taking them if they were losing.
