The topic “hot springs arkansas fight” is trending due to a recent violent incident that occurred at a gas station in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Reports indicate that a fight escalated to the point where one man was severely injured, necessitating intensive medical care. This serious outcome likely contributed to the heightened search interest as people sought to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Several news outlets have covered the details of the fight, including the arrest of a suspect involved. According to KATV, the police apprehended a suspect connected to the incident, which adds a layer of legal development that may further pique public interest. The situation’s severity, particularly with a victim in the ICU as highlighted by KTLO, also raises concerns about community safety and the nature of the altercation.

Additionally, personal accounts from family members, as reported by KARK, emphasize the emotional stakes of the event. A mother expressed hope for her son who was severely injured, which draws attention not only to the fight itself but also to its impact on individuals and families within the community. This combination of serious injury, legal outcomes, and personal narratives contributes to the overall surge in search activity related to this incident.

During the time I spent playing EVE Online, I may have spent more time on the wiki than in-game.
A
Affectionate-Bag8229 • 34 points
Understandable with EVE at least, I guarantee I’ve spent more time in EVE tabbed out than in lmao
B
Beattitudeforgains1 • 19 points
Looking up the killboards of people in system to see if they’re a threat or not…looking at dotlan for statistics and gatecamps lol.
D
Droidsexual • 14 points
EVE feels like it is made for that though. It is spreadsheets the game and is all about figuring out how to game the system. As I understand it.
B
Beattitudeforgains1 • 3 points
Not everything is spreadsheets but yeah pmuch. Eve is all about trying to optimize the ever loving fuck out of things and the game’s default way of presenting information is…ehhh. The UI itself is good usually when just doing things but when it comes to in depth information the game shits itself hard and when in doubt there is always going to be a tool to make your life so much easier when doing something.

People are so used to looking up pokemon online to find out how they evolve that it’s easily forgotten just how little information is available in-game. You might get some trivia about a handful of species but the vast majority of the time there’s no way to know exactly how a pokemon will evolve.
P
Paladin51394 • 61 points
If someone didn’t know Hydreigon existed they’d be forgiven for thinking so because you don’t get it until fucking level 64 That’s basically end-game leveling, the story is essentially over by the time this thing evolves.
P
prototato • 51 points
Doesn’t help that Ghetis has a Hydreigon in his boss fight but it’s severely under leveled. If this game came out pre-internet, people would be assuming there was some special evolution method for Zweilous.
I
Iffem • 20 points
it’s a proud tradition going all the way back to gen 2 and Lance’s lvl47 Dragonites
M
Mucmaster • 12 points
And Falkner’s level 9 Pidgeotto Edit: Double checking the level taught me it it’s possible to catch a level 7 Pidgeotto in the Kanto region or catch a level 9 Pidgeotto in Yellow and transfer it over.
I
Iffem • 3 points
hahaha actually, it’s even funnier in the remakes of gen 2… Lance has a lvl40! Dragonite when you and him are double battling against team rocket
H
Herodrake • 40 points
Legends ZA has one of the most egregious examples of this in the whole series: Gamefreak: Yeah go evolve Galarian Yamask. You gotta take damage and not faint. Walk under a bridge. “How am I supposed to know that?” Gamefreak: Lmao
D
DustInTheBreeze • 28 points
If you don’t look stuff up online, I think there are some games where non-level evolutions are impossible to figure out. Like, Buneary alone requires you to keep it in your party for hours on end until you level up with the required friendship. Can you imagine trying to figure out how Karrablast works? Or Inkay, or any Pokemon that requires you to be in “a special magnetic field” to evolve?
S
SamuraiDDD • 28 points
Inkay is especially egregious because what mf’er would think to have their handheld UPSIDE DOWN?
G
Ginger_Anarchy • 6 points
Especially since I’ve found the switch 2 to be really buggy about it and have to disconnect my pro controller to do it because otherwise it doesn’t work.
S
SamuraiDDD • 4 points
It’s a quirky mechanic but I feel like there should be some alternative method in game if you can’t do it for some reason. Or the gyro system isn’t functioning in the console.
I
Iffem • 26 points
on the other hand, there is some hidden hilarity to “your pokemon became furry bait because it likes you”
B
brunonunis • 21 points
It REALLY likes you
I
Iffem • 14 points
iirc, you even have to try extra hard for it because of Buneary having a low base affection when you catch it
M
Monk-Ey • 10 points
Buneary’s lack of affection when caught is on par with *box legendaries*: that fucker hates your guts.
A
alicitizen • 2 points
Buneary has the lowest possible base affection with 0. Its such a funny bit, that rabbit hates you
T
ToaArcan • 5 points
I don’t think I’ve ever evolved a Buneary without resorting to “Okay now eat a gajillion Pomeg Berries.”
S
Simic_Sky_Swallower • 7 points
The fun part about that one is you constantly have to figure out where the Special Magnetic Field is in each new game, and it’s not always in a consistent place progression-wise. It was fine in Sinnoh because you go back to Mt Coronet so frequently, but if you want a Vikavolt in Alola you have to wait until the final trial to get it
A
AlphaB27 • 5 points
There’s a reason why in gen 8, they just made them able to evolve via thunder stone.
R
RobotJake • 22 points
Shout out to Inkay’s evolution requirement requiring you to *physically hold the console upside down* when it levels up

Also, type charts. I have memorized maybe a dozen different singular parts of type charts based almost entirely on common sense (fire melts ice and water puts out fire) but if you were to ask me what Steel type moves are good against off the top of my head I’d throw up my hands and shrug.
K
King_Of_What_Remains • 20 points
Ice and Rock, because it’s a harder material than them, and Fairy because iron is a common weakness of the fae. I know every super effective interaction just through, like, almost 30 years of playing these games and the fact that knowing what the best move to use is kind of important. But I still don’t know all of the resistances and probably never will. Did you know that Rock doesn’t resist Rock? That one was kind of surprising. Fire resists Fairy? Good to know, but why?
K
Kii_at_work • 8 points
The one interaction that still gets me is Ice being weak to Rock. Really feels like it should be the reverse, or maybe just both are super effective to each other. I just think about how ice can break apart rock if water gets in and freezes. Fire resisting Fairy is one of the few that doesn’t make sense to me. Fairy’s two weaknesses make sense (Steel is for the cold iron used in legends, poison is poisoning nature impacting them) but fire resisting? No idea.
D
Draykon • 4 points
I always remember the weird Fairy weaknesses by thinking of the Velveteen Rabbit- a story about a stuffed rabbit (Fairy) that was affected by the plague (Poison) and had to be burned (Fire). But the fact that I have to come up with bizarre mnemonics like that is probably not a plus- and it doesn’t help with the weird asymmetry a lot of types have. (Fire resists fairy, but isn’t super effective against it??)
P
ProtoServant • 4 points
You’re on the right track for Ice, it’s super effective against Ground by that logic.

I remember thinking that Pokémon evolved randomly when I first played the first Pokémon game as a child because it really seemed like there was no rhyme or reason to the levels. I also didn’t see any reason to catch duplicates, so for all I knew it WAS random.

I didn’t know about STAB for years..
D
DBrody6 • 58 points
It’s funny that this fact *is* actually mentioned in games, practically all of them! A (usually optional) trainer’s school early in almost every region will have an NPC tell you that Pokemon using moves matches its typing get stronger.
T
ThatGuy5880 • 7 points
Side note, STAB is such a cool acronym. Like, it immediately gets the idea that it makes attacks stronger (cause like “stab”), and just sounds super cool. It’s also just short and catchy. IDK if “same type attack bonus” has ever been said in game but I’m glad it’s stuck around in the community.

Don’t forget the methods to obtain some Pokemon, such as the Regis in Gen 3, or the absolutely weird way to find Meloetta in Scarlet/Violet.
M
midnight_riddle • 10 points
Oh yeah like Manaphy you could only get FROM A SPINOFF GAME, you’d get it as an egg downloaded onto your flagship game, and you would have to know that even though it’s a legendary pokemon THIS one is different because it can be bred. So you breed it with a Ditto and hatch the egg and that egg will produce not another Manaphy but a Phione. The Phione can’t evolve into a Manaphy it’s it’s not a pre-evolution of Manaphy it’s like a mule.
P
ParagonPlus • 8 points
To be totally fair on the regis, the instruction booklet for the games does include a chart for the braille, at least in Japan, Australia and Europe. Apparently the American one had a tip advising to call the hotline for help with braille, which is a hilarious thing to ask for over the phone, trying to describe the letters dot by dot.

PrancerSlenderfriend • 6 points
really like, half of all of pokemon’s mechanics are functionally invisible, enjoy buffing/debuffing moves!
N
nin_ninja • 7 points
Yeah the last several Digimon games tell you what you need. Pokémon has basically never told you ever, which considering how not straightforward some are is really dumb. It also does not help it isn’t consistent. I’ve played Pokémon for years and still need to look up some Evo requirements
A
alienslayer7 • 7 points
I mean ever since at least gen 7 they tell you what mobes are effective if youve fought it before
N
nin_ninja • 4 points
Okay, that doesn’t really have to do with what I was talking about
B
brikaro • 3 points
I think that aspect of Pokemon definitely stems from it being a pre mass adoption of the Internet franchise and was intended to spark conversation with the community mysteries. There’s a lot of stuff like that in the game that makes no sense but you heard from your friend on the bus and it seems like anything could happen in the game.

Escape from Tarkov, which is funny because the creator hates the idea of people using a second screen to pull up a map or wiki. Problem is game tells you nothing other than the bare minimum which isn’t enough to keep you from walking around aimlessly. Case in point there’s a quest where have to locate a door on a visually noisy map and you need a single use key that can’t be stored in your secure container(special pocket that will keep items even through death) and has a reeeeeeally low spawn rate. Double whammy is that once you find the door you’re supposed to plant wifi cameras over looking the door and stairwell except that you’re not made aware of this until after to find said door. So if you didn’t have the foresight to bring the cameras along with key you’re sol till you can find another key otherwise you’re spending a shit ton of money from the in game flea market

the THACO for armor pen guy doesnt get a place to talk about wiki shit

I only played a bit of Tarkov with a friend and was grilling him on how you are suppressed to know where the extract points on the map are, since there’s absolutely nothing in game to note this bush vs that bush as an extract point. his answer seemed to genuinely be wait for the community to find them and post them online. You can purchase maps from vendors but it’s an item you can loose on death and there’s no guarantee all of the extract points will actually be marked on them. You are expected to just “know”
B
Brohammad_Ali24 • 3 points
There’s also specific conditions with some of those extract points as well. Some of them are flare extracts where you can only safely extract after firing a green flare (there are other colored flared that do different things) and hope it doesn’t bug out, some require specific keys and others need to be activated by flipping a power switch which doing so may spawn in cracked out enemies
S
SamuraiDDD • 5 points
How in the hell did the creator expect people to figure that out without a guide?
B
Brohammad_Ali24 • 18 points
He’s a bit of a putz
S
SamuraiDDD • 6 points
Oof, that’s never fun when the creator is a dick
