2011 Oscars Red Carpet Fashion

On the 27th of February, 2011 the Kodak Theatre was again stuffed with dazzling celebrities, marking the 83rd Annual Academy Awards of Oscars. No doubt, it was one of the most anticipated and stunning events of the year, where the elite society of talented actors and actresses was present, who came to get a reward for their great acting performances in the latest sensational films. James Franco and Anne Hathaway were the hosts during the evening, amusing the audience with their super-fun experience and original sides.

There were numerous nominations and prizes, among which the most important one was the Best Movie Award, given to “The King’s Speech”: the award for the Best Actor went to Colin Firth, who stood out for his acting talent staring in the same film. The beautiful actress Natalie Portman, who arrived at the party the last, took the prize of the Best Actress thanks to her professional performance in “Black Swan”. The film “Inception” won the prize of the Best Visual Effects, “The Social Network” for the Best Film Editing, Christian Bale for the Best Supporting Actor in “The Fighter” and many other positions.
Surely this is not just a unique day of numerous prizes, fantastic show and a fabulous celebrity pack, but also a wonderful celebration of evening cocktail dresses, stunning designer gowns, presented by our beloved actresses, reflecting their high sense of style and the latest fashion tendencies. Jennifer Lawrence made a classy and glamorous debut in her hot red dress form the Calvin Klein Collection, perfectly matching it with her Jimmy Choo “New Lancer” platform sandals and also a Judith Leiber bag. Sandra Bullock also came wearing a versatile red dress from the collection of Vera Wang, complementing her gorgeous look with Jimmy Choo “Vita” platform sandals. Jennifer Hudson made up her formal wear of Atelier Versace Spring 2008 red gown and Purple Versace platform heels. The beautiful host Anne Hathaway also trapped in this red haze, appearing in Valentino Couture A-list gown.

Cate Blanchett arrived in her Givenchy Couture gown of sweet lilac hue, while Mila Kunis picked up an Elie Saab Couture creation, accompanied by Neil Lane jewelry and a Bottega Veneta clutch. Hilary Swank looked absolutely amazing in her Gucci Premiere couture gown perfectly matched with satin platform sandals and a cute Roger Vivier clutch.
Scarlett Johansson created her mesmerizing look thanks to the fabulous purple Dolce & Gabbana lace dress, which is really very sweet and trendy this year. The radiant mother-to-be actress Natalie Portman also picked the purple color and appeared in Rodarte gown, which looked stunning with her Jimmy Choo ‘Macy’ satin sandals.

Michelle Williams was sparkling in her Chanel Couture dress crowned with Harry Winston jewels, and Jimmy Choo “Cosmic” platform pumps. Gwyneth Paltrow was amazing as always in her Calvin Klein flirty gown, highlighting her extreme femininity. She stepped on the red carpet with her Brian Atwood’s gold leather “Martina” pumps.
We can hardly miss always-gorgeous Nicole Kidman in her Dior silver embroidery dress and orange Pierre Hardy heels. Halle Berry stood out in the fashion crowd with her shiny Marchesa gown, consisting of a crystal encrusted corset and tulle ruffles.

There were also actresses who tried to avoid the critics’ strict opinions, sticking to the safest style and appearing in formal old time glamy dresses. Among them were Reese Witherspoon, who chose a black Armani Privé dress paired with Neil Lane jewelry, and Amy Adams, who decided to walk along the red carpet in her embroidered L’Wren Scott gown of electric blue color, matching it with Salvatore Ferragamo black satin shoes and silver Cartier jewels.
