One of the most anticipated events in the music industry, the 2011 American Music Awards, took place at the Nokia Theatre L.A. on Sunday November 20. World-famous names in Hollywood gathered together to enjoy good music, gorgeous shows and the company of good friends. Beautiful Taylor Swift was the big winner of the night, as she got three awards, one of them being AMA’s top award for Artist of the Year nomination. The other two awards she got were Favorite Female Country Artist and Favorite Country Album. Nicki Minaj got two awards as Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album for Pink Friday. Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and Adele also made the winners’ list at the 2011 AMA.

Taylor Swift was the star shining in the sky during the show, as not only she got the most important award, but also mesmerized in a gorgeous strapless beaded gown from the Reem Acra spring 2012 collection. She finished off her look with Jimmy Choos and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
Selena Gomez, who appeared at the event with her boyfriend Justin Bieber, channeled old Hollywood glamour in a Giorgio Armani glitzy dress, accessorized with Jimmy Choo silver sandals and a bedazzled minaudiere.
Jennifer Lopez, who got the Favorite Latin Artist award, brought a dramatic touch to the red carpet, wearing a bold Zuhair Murad gown. The one-sleeve couture gown had a high neckline, a side slit and was covered with beautifully embroidered lace flowers. Her gorgeous gown was accessorized with Jimmy Choo pumps and Neil Lane drop earrings.
Nicki Minaj made her appearance in a stunning Oscar de la Renta gown, featuring a lace bodice and ruffled puff skirt. Extremely high Alexander McQueen Armour wedge sandals completed her look.
Katherine Heigl chose a sexy Roberto Cavalli gown with a deep plunging V-neck, high slit and embellished strap. Sutra tassel earrings and Jimmy Choo heels finished off her mesmerizing look.
Katy Perry stood out in the crowd with a sequin bustier dress from Vivienne Westwood’s Gold Label line. Her voluminous hairdo was accessorized with origami flowers, while electric blue pee-toe pumps completed her attire.
Heidi Klum strode down the red carpet in a metallic frock with intriguing laser cut details from the Giles spring 2012 collection. Nicholas Kirkwood python platform slingback pumps completed her look.
Sarah Hyland flaunted her gorgeous silhouettes, wearing a beaded mini dress by Amen, accessorized with a metallic clutch bag and Brian Atwood ‘Wagner’ peep-toe platform pumps.
