The hottest fashion tendencies for the upcoming warm season are getting slowly unraveled and the style options presented are as diverse as your fantasy could let it go. Rebecca Taylor debuted her spring/summer 2012 collection during New York Fashion Week on September 9th, 2011 and the looks presented are certainly worth taking a look at.
As it could be expected, Rebecca Taylor created her new collection following the guideline of the label we have already got used to – femininity in the coolest way possible, effortlessly chic outfits with a subtle whimsical touch. Contemporary looks with an ethereal vibe, flowy silhouettes, gentle textures and simple combos were some of the main features of the collection.
The high-end fashion house suggested such trends for the spring/summer 2012 season, as cropped tops, cutouts, mid length skirts, bohemian frocks, laser-cut detailing, watercolor floral prints, lace, chiffon and sequins. In terms of colors, the entire collection was mainly concentrated on soft neutrals, sky blue, silver, grey or citrus yellow. The models first hit the runway wearing all bright pieces – shiny, florals, and sky-blue splashes of watercolor prints on flowy dresses and little skirts, and then the theme changed into more breezy and easy sentiments in moodier tones, like midnight blues, blacks, and darker metallic. Although, all the looks contained a certain casual vibe, sequins and gun metal effects came to add a more eclectic feel to the ensembles.
Metallic accents could also be spotted on accessories, which appeared more functional and quite discreet. These choices were much in line with the outfits presented, becoming a great fashion inspiration for women, who’d like to maintain a fairly understated looks.
