On Sunday, at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, beautiful Beyoncé Knowles looked even more beautiful and charming, the reason of which wasn’t far her eye-catching orange Lanvin dress and those amazing sparkling earrings, she was wearing. Actually, it was her baby bump, which the 29-year-old singer was showing off proudly and even turned to the photographers, saying: “I have a surprise for you!”
Beyoncé, who turns 30 on September 4, made the big announcement after her performance, saying: “I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me.” Immediately after this, all cameras turned to Jay-Z, who was shining with emotions and excitement. Shortly after Beyoncé’s big news MTV tweeted: “OMG Beyoncé just made a huge announcement on the #vma carpet! #baby!!!!!”
In June, in an exclusive CNN interview, Beyoncé spoke to Piers Morgan, telling about her intention to become a mother. “I always said I’d have a baby at 30. But I also said I’m going to retire at 30 … Only God knows,” she said.
The singer also confessed that, “I feel like a woman. I feel like I’m very aware of who I am. I feel great and I feel like 30 is the ideal age [to start a family], because you’re mature enough to know who you are and to have your boundaries and your standards, and not be afraid, too polite — but you’re young enough to be a young woman,” she explained. “I’m so looking forward to it,” she told Morgan.
Besides, the stunning mother-to-be revealed about her motherhood intention for InStyle September 2011. “Now I’m a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage. I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be and dedicate myself to my children,” she admitted.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who have always been quite reserved about their personal life, tied the knot in 2008 in New York City in a private ceremony. The beautiful singer told Piers Morgan that, “Jay and I have kind of made a decision that we want to be known for our music and not our relationships or scandals.”
