Paradox of tolerance, is a paradox there is no perfect answer, you might agree with the conclusion that Kuhn or Popper but that doesn’t mean we can’t go the opposite way or a different way. For instance you seem to take it all the way to calls to violence, which is a terrible thing to advocate for. The government should not restrict our rights and should enable discussion and criticism. Those with abhorrent views will easily be squashed by those with better views since at the end of the day this guys views are not defensible, they don’t have any sound reasoning. Effort instead should be put towards stoping violence and improving the material conditions. Extreme authoritarian ideologies like fascism and communism seem to rise when the working class is destroyed by rampant inequality and economic uncertainty. Fix the problems with liberalism, embrace better welfare and healthcare and then the working class will not support those ideologies. TLDR; open discussion and unrestricted sharing of ideas via free speech and fixing the material conditions will ensure we keep a democratic and tolerant society, other ways including eroding our rights as you suggest will just lead us closer to an intolerant authoritarian society.
