This is a huge step for the NRA in the right direction. This is the first time in my recorded memory they haven’t 100% sided with law enforcement right away. It comes years too late. They should have stood up for Philando Castille but this is progress none the less. Shows me tide is shifting.

True, but the NRA’s post rightly grants benefit of doubt to the “law-abiding citizen” rather than the ICE officer. Ofc there shouldn’t be any doubt about what happened as we have all seen the videos and there is countless witness testimony. But the modern NRA ALWAYS sides with law enforcement (or at least almost always – idk where they came down on Jan 6), so this is notable. EDIT: not sure if the meaning of my original comment was clear so I reworded a couple things for clarity.
