Also I wouldn’t put dame as the trail blazers goat. I have both Walton and Clyde over him

Nash > Booker

Barkley too. Clear cut #1.
I
Independent_pi_8650 • 11 points
Eh, IDK if Barkley was there long enough.

-imhe- • 13 points
Does that disqualify Lebron from being the Heat’s greatest player? He only played 14 more games than Barkley did for the Suns.
O
Ok_Beginning_9314 • 11 points
No, the existence of Wade does that.
–
-imhe- • 2 points
I agree. Wade is the greatest Heat. Just questioning their logic.
E
el_flac0 • 29 points
I’d argue Nash > Barkley irrespective of years played at Phoenix.

Barkley should be ahead of Dr J for the 76ers. Of course, so should Wilt.
S

Heat is not LeBron. Yes he’s the BEST player to put that uniform on but ask any Heat fan and it’s Wade
W
wackbirds • 67 points
Yeah, it’s Wade. You think Heat legend, you think Wade. LeBron was better, but he’s not the guy you link with the franchise like Wade.
F
Far_Razzmatazz9791 • 3 points
Agree. Lebron gave them another 2. But wade gave them their 1st trophy.
W
WordSpiritual1928 • 4 points
If heat is bron then bucks is Kareem. But everyone knows it’s Giannis.
S
superdago • 2 points
There’s really no comparing the two scenarios. LeBron was with Miami for 4 seasons out of his 23 year (so far) career compared to Wade being there 16 of 16. Wade is the Heat record holder for nearly every cumulative stat (games, minutes, field goals, assists, steals, etc). LeBron only has a handful of “per game” records. Contrast that with Kareem who spent his first 6 years of a 20-year career in Milwaukee, whereas Giannis has now spent all of his 13 years with the Bucks. And Giannis has since eclipsed KAJ for nearly every cumulative statistical record with the Bucks. Heat is Wade and Bucks is Giannis.

Heat – Wade Lakers – Magic
G
GrandMoffKraken • 49 points
Lakers can go either way between Magic and Kobe. Magic will say it’s Kobe, in part due to longevity, but also because even though people deny this now, during his prime people were putting Kobe on the same level as MJ, probably up until Lebron clearly surpassed Kobe.
M
Mr_Hugh_Honey • 22 points
People were also putting Clyde Drexler on MJ’s level for a bit, that doesn’t make it true
F
Former-Magician-4809 • 12 points
Not Kareem or Jerry West for the Lakers?
J
jakobkh0407 • 27 points
No it’s definitely magic lol Kareem didn’t do shit for them until magic got there
H
hank333331 • 7 points
And magic didnt do shot without Kareem. Kareem won titles and mvp as Laker
T
TheRastaBear • 18 points
My grandpa grew up in LA during showtime lakers, he swears that magic is the GOAT
T
thebigpink • 36 points
Well I mean if your grandpa declares it that’s the end of it
T
TheRastaBear • 9 points
Exactlyyyy lol. He talks about how Magic changed the game by playing PG with his height, and how they would run the floor quickly before the defense had time to set up, which most teams didn’t do at that time. He also brings up game six of the championship when Magic was a rookie. Kareem was injured and out, and Magic stepped up to play center, dropping a 40 point near triple double to win the chip as a rookie. He could play any position on the court. Hard to argue when a die hard fan growing up at that time takes Magic over Kareem. He loves them both though haha

During Magic’s career, the Lakers won NBA titles in 1987 and 1988 when Kareem had become a secondary player for them. They also won conference titles in 1989 and 1991 when Kareem was either a role player (1989) or not on the roster at all (1991).

Magic didn’t do shit because Magic wasn’t there before Kareem came lol. Magic went to the Finals still AFTER Kareem retired.
T
Tha-Punjabi-Playboy • 1 points
Which title did Kareem win as a Laker without Magic? Magic led the Lakers to the Finals in 91, years after Kareem retired. Who knows what other success Magic could have had if he didn’t need to retire early?

kareem is milwaukee’s goat ?!
J

I could see an argument for West way before Kareem. Kareem isn’t over Kobe either

I just commented about this. Youngins these days don’t know about Walton MVP, Finals MVP (champion), and first-team all-defense. All during his time with the Blazers He’s the GOAT blazer
C
cjackson871387 • 10 points
Walton is a great player but not the goat. He only played in 209 regular season and 21 playoff games in four seasons as Trailblazer. Drexler played in 867 regular season and 94 games over 12 seasons. Longevity matters.
D
DBDXL • 3 points
Walton accomplished way more as a Blazer than Dame ever did. Accomplished everything you can accomplish as a Blazer.
M
mortar_n_brick • 1 points
actual definition of a trailblazer
S
SoFreshCoolButta • 13 points
Yes even though he didn’t win a ring there he still wins out over Lillard
C
Corr521 • 5 points
I’m reading this as franchise GOAT and not best player to ever play for that franchise. The way I see it: – Bill Walton is the MVP champ who brought us our one and only ring – Drexler is the best player to ever wear a Blazers jersey – Lillard is the best Trail Blazer of all time who you can tell fully embraced the city and truly loves it. Hard to say Walton or Drexler are the franchise GOATs when they’ve talked poorly of the franchise (Walton) or have acted like want to be remembered as a Rocket instead of a Blazer (Drexler)
E
Efficient_Tonight_40 • 3 points
I’d say so. Led the Blazers to two finals appearances and lost to the defending champions both times. Walton easily gets this if he had more longevity though
B

Gotta be right? Went to a finals

Two finals
