Paul & Joe Spring 2012 – Paris Fashion Week

As the spring/summer 2012 shows suggest, the upcoming warm season has a little bit of everything for every fashion addict. From clean, minimalist silhouettes, romantic shapes and dreamy pastels to eye-catching colors, bold prints and edgy tailoring, fashion designers have covered the most impressive trends in their new collections in order to please fashionizers with various styles. Now it’s Paul & Joe’s turn to presents its vision for the new season. For Paul & Joe’s Spring 2012 collection, demonstrated during Paris Fashion Week, French designer Sophie Albou went on a safari and presented a fascinating parade of utilitarian and ethnic-inspired designs, which don’t fail to preserve a special dose of sophistication and glamour.

With colorful prints, metallic accents, slouchy silhouettes, mid-drift baring tops and billowing skirts, the Paul & Joe woman looks much relaxed, yet sexy and feminine in the new season, definitely described as Safari spring, according to the brand. “She likes gold; she likes luxury,” the French designer said.
The Paul & Joe Spring 2012 collection is a stunning interpretation of utilitarian, safari and ethnic-inspired silhouettes, and despite the vivid relaxed and effortless vibe, it manages to preserve the chic factor perfectly well. Sophie Albou, who named her new collection after her two sons, brought a mesmerizing plethora of a complete modernity and laidback sophistication for the new season.
The Paul & Joe Spring 2012 line was flooded with military buttoned-up shirts, double-breasted blazers, utility pants, thigh-high slit skirts and romantic maxi dresses, fringed ponchos, overalls, vests, embroidered jeans, boho peasant dresses and alluring metallic knits. The looks were accessorized with wooden heels, drop earrings and satchel bags in neutral tones. The color palette contained mainly khaki tones, but there were also tribal prints, paisley and colorful stripes that perfectly finished the beautiful ensembles.
With its chic concept, impressive tailoring and amazing show, the Paul & Joe Spring 2012 collection was no wonder a great success!
