The recent trend around Lonzo Ball is primarily driven by the significant news regarding his trades during the NBA trade deadline. Reports from multiple sources indicate that Ball has been involved in trade activity, with notable mentions in coverage by major outlets like The New York Times and KSL Sports. These reports reveal that Lonzo Ball was traded, first to the Cleveland Cavaliers and subsequently acquired by the Utah Jazz in exchange for Jock Landale.

The volume of searches exceeding 50,000 can be attributed to the unfolding nature of these trade rumors and deals that are critical for fans and analysts who closely follow player movements in the NBA. The change in teams for a well-known player like Ball draws considerable attention as it may influence team dynamics, player performance, and league outcomes.

Additionally, the trade events came at a pivotal time, coinciding with the NBA’s trade deadline, which naturally generates heightened interest among basketball enthusiasts. With every major trade, fans are eager to stay informed about how these decisions affect their favorite teams and the league as a whole. This combination of high-profile transactions and the timing in the NBA calendar explains the surge in search interest around Lonzo Ball.

Yeah I thought I just missed a string of trades

You can replace it with Lavine and Lauri as well lol. They whiffed twice on getting anything from Jimmy
S
SmokimNoah • 42 points
LaVine Lauri and Kris Dunn isn’t even a bad return, they just got everything wrong after that. LaVine getting 2 all star apps is the only thing that makes that trade fathomable for us.
T
toomanyshoeshelp • 21 points
The fact Lauri and Lavine and Dunn turned into our own protected pick back and a crazy protected Portland pick is included in my anger.

I thought… What kind of trickery did the warriors do to trade butler.

Masterclass of asset management 👏🏽 Thank you GarPax and AKME. Fuck you Jerry
I
imcryptic • 130 points
What if AKME doesn’t realize you can trade first round picks? Maybe that’s why they drafted PWill at 4 instead of trading down. Has anyone told them?
H

He traded two firsts for Vucevic

One of which is now Franz Wagner

I wish we had pursued Poetl instead that offseason

Even when we finally do the right thing, we’re still gettin (rightfully) cooked.

Is there a worse owner in the NBA than Jerry? I mean, how cheap and apathetic can a billionaire owner in a big market be?
B
BatsuGame13 • 7 points
Jerry is the epitome of “stepping over dimes to pick up pennies.” And he’s demonstrated it for over 40 years in two sports.
T
TexasRoadhead • 2 points
He’s also the reason why the dynasty Bulls fell apart, and totally let Krause take the fall for it since he can’t defend himself anymore
M
Manthan10 • 10 points
Is mandatory for owners named Jerry to suck?
E
El_Babad00k • 11 points
I think Jerry Buss was the only good one that I can think of
T

Jerry Jones is a decent owner. His teams are consistently in or around the playoffs with almost no exceptions. Problem is, it’s infuriating how he hard caps them through ego bs. Not that I mind as a Philly fan. But he is WORLDS better than Reinsdorf and others like Vivek. He regularly fields good teams and sometimes fields contenders.
M
Manthan10 • 5 points
Cowboys were America’s team, the best team in football and now they are complete joke every year what contenders doesn’t even got to NFCCG even once in 30 years?
T
theb3arjevv • 3 points
That’s the hard cap. He gets in the way every single time. I didn’t say that he was a good owner lol. Just decent. We have too many examples of egregious owners in both football (Haslem, Brown, etc) and here in basketball (Vivek, Reinsdorf, Dolan) to call him THAT bad.
C
Coolguynumber01 • 700 points
well they also got Josh Giddey
T
toomanyshoeshelp • 314 points
Perhaps the only bright spot. And the Jaden Ivey reclamation project.
K
KronkSpinachPuffCafe • 124 points
Ivey should become a 20ppg guy if he gets enough minutes.
D
DoctorFunktopus • 104 points
Gonna be hard to get enough minutes with 12 guards on the roster
S
strawnotrazz • 65 points
Jaden Ivey starting at center confirmed.
K
KronkSpinachPuffCafe • 11 points
Yeah they shouldn’t have hit the big red “LOCK IN THE ROSTER” button already, that was ill-advised
D
DoctorFunktopus • 5 points
Oh, I hadn’t seen the trade with the hornets yet. That’s two down!
X
XxX_22marc_XxX • 12 points
Sexton, Dosumnu, Giddey, Ivey, Williams. Best defense in the league, chip them already. /s
S
Squarians • 9 points
Tre Jones too
T
thisisjustascreename • 6 points
Jones actually is good on defense though. For a small guard, anyway.

they should get IT, CJ McCollum, and Trae Young just to round it out.
J
jrlandry • 11 points
I’m not too worried about Ivey. He just didn’t fit the direction that the Pistons are going as a team, got left behind when he got hurt last year. They need spot up shooters more than a 2nd on-ball creator. He should be fine in Chicago
T
toomanyshoeshelp • 2 points
I hope, I really liked watching him at Purdue and his development last year.
W
We5ties • 11 points
They got rid of Lavine’s awful contract without really doing anything. Ppl skip over that part
T
toomanyshoeshelp • 16 points
Signing Lavine to that contract and making him unmovable is part of the malpractice.
W
We5ties • 10 points
Eh if they didn’t resign him, everyone would be saying OMG the bulls didn’t keep another young star.
T
toomanyshoeshelp • 4 points
If we didn’t get bailed out by an even more incompetent team, people were saying we’d need to package a FRP to move him which is probably accurate.
W
We5ties • 3 points
And thank you kings. I’m actually surprised they did try to trade for vuc or Coby lol
T
teddytwelvetoes • 16 points
(derogatory)

S
sukari • 253 points
DeMar was a sign and trade. The big win was that we didn’t have to use another FRP to move Zach. I thank the Kings every day for that.
W
WhatShouldTheHeartDo • 92 points
Kings became the Bulls of the West overnight
T
Thehelloman0 • 25 points
The kings essentially traded the bulls a first to get him instead of Zach Collins and Tre Jones lol
S
SaltyFan1959 • 6 points
I mean – at the time of AKME joining the organization, Zach Lavine was just coming off his Olympics run and was generally considered in the same tier as Booker. Maybe it’s a chicken or the egg situation in terms of the Bulls ruining Lavine or Lavine just being overhyped and on bad contract, but add this to the long list of players that failed to develop under AKME and Billy.
S
sukari • 4 points
Yep that’s my point.. unfortunate timing but we had to pay him as a 1st option haha.
D
daveyfire11 • 17 points
I’m not sure the Zach trade counts as a win, given that we gave him the contract that made him nearly untradeable.
S
sukari • 15 points
That’s my point tho, we almost had to give up another first to move him. But we managed to get our FRP back instead and still move him.
T
toomanyshoeshelp • 4 points
Our FRP had protections, but we refused to tank enough to maximize the odds. That’s not really a win IMO.
T
toomanyshoeshelp • 3 points
Agreed. We shot ourselves in the foot, and are grateful for the surgeon who helped us amputate the necrosis.
