People think LA is a bunch of millionaires but forget that its 12 million people in the metro and there are definitely huge pockets of low income. many of the things are also way more than 4x cheaper though. Like a meal is 10x cheaper. Mobile plan is 9x cheaper. etc etc. They also have pretty much very cheap healthcare, They have very cheap/free public transportation. And they have more free to use things like community outdoor gyms, local community gatherings and playgrounds with toys and parks with food stalls and such.
