Gudas should have spent half his career suspended, but then the Dept. of player safety is a joke so that explains why past and present Maurice coached Panthers play with little respect for their opponents. This is another reason NHL player should not be at the Olympics. Besides the risk of injury that will hurt their NHL team. They are not amateur athletes and should not be allowed to play at the Olympics. I bet the Penguins and their fans are wondering what to do now. Completely avoidable.

Crosby’s left foot gets on Gudas’ blade and he slips under him. I think that’s a big part of why the hit was harder on his knee. And I’m not saying Gudas is at fault there either, he didn’t necessarily try to trip Crosby, it sort of just happened as he was blocking him.

It is what it is; if Gudas was targeting Crosby’s head, he either would have hit him in the head or gone over, given that Crosby ducked. Instead, Gudas 100% was lined up to hit him at chest height. Crosby ducked, and that’s why it glances off his shoulder. Like idk what you’re even trying to say here – Gudas has a reputation, so he should get blamed for Crosby’s choice to duck even when he’s making a clean hit?

Gudas was lined up to hit him – he’s leaned completely forward and all of his weight was over his toes while he’s pushing up and out. Like literally any big hit. Crosby totally slides under him, how in tf is Gudas supposed to stay up? Magic? If Crosby just takes that hit normally, he takes a big, but safe, clean hit. Crosby would get knocked on his ass and Gudas would be standing up. I swear it’s like I’m talking to people who’ve never played or watched hockey before.
