The FA Cup is currently trending due to the excitement surrounding the upcoming fourth-round matches, which are generating significant interest among football fans. Notable fixtures include Wrexham facing Ipswich Town and Hull City taking on Chelsea. These matchups have captured the attention of supporters, prompting a surge in searches as fans seek information about game schedules, ticket availability, and team lineups.

The match between Hull City and Chelsea, in particular, is likely contributing to the heightened search interest due to Chelsea’s notable presence in the league and their historical performances in the competition. Fans are eager to see how both teams will perform, particularly as this stage of the FA Cup often features thrilling encounters and potential upsets.

Additionally, Macclesfield’s clash against Brentford adds to the intrigue, as it presents an opportunity for lower-tier teams to compete against higher-ranked opponents. This scenario often draws additional scrutiny and search activity as fans speculate on possible outcomes and the potential for surprises in the tournament.

Overall, the combination of competitive matchups and the traditional allure of the FA Cup is driving significant online interest, reflected in the high volume of searches related to the event.

Up the Chels! Really good performance by the starting 11. Could not watch the second half, but saw the highlights of the second. Neto, Delap and Estevao, all deserving of praise for their showing. Neto has come in for a lot of criticism, but I really liked him operating centrally in that first half. He had some really nice touches. I almost feel because of how he plays well in tranisition when he is allowed to run at a defense centrally in some space, he looks quite impressive. It is when he slows things down on the flank that can be frustrating, but he is still a top winger. Glad to have him.

So happy for Pedro Neto

Just watched the highlights, how did Steve and Delap miss those chances, how was sarr? And was the second goal a Neto goal or Hato?

There was a moment where he physically controlled the player and ball, forcing both out for a goal kick. The only player that I’ve seen done that on defense the last couple years is Reece. Subtle, but it showed he really seems to have it mentally and physically. Liked what I saw. A couple steps weee a little too aggressive and got caught but overall, we should be excited by him. PS – Hato looked really good too, he seems to be settling. Class player.

Couldn’t watch the game. How did Sarr go? Saw he got a 8.5 on sofascore but I’d like to know what ppl thought about him on eye testing, how he defended, how consistent he did so, if he’s good on the ball aswell… Ik it’s a single game against Hull but I’m hopeful we got some quality depth in the defense.
J
jalthepoet • 1 points
thought he was outstanding, very sturdy and calm + composed defending which allowed fofana to be the aggressor as he prefers, was watching for his progressive passing as that was flagged as an issue but he was actually sensational—opposition merits some grains of salt but a really good debut

honestly he looked super calm and in control. i can’t think of a single mistake or misplaced pass. he didn’t take many risks, clearly just tried to play a tidy game. but he did have one fucking stunning 60 pass over the defense to the toe of estaveo who rounded the keeper and blazed the shot over the bar :/ wish sarr got an assist on his first start. i was impressed by him

Glad to see Hato have a good game again. I feel like he’s often lumped in with some of our disappointing signings but he’s only had 2 bad performances and has been solid enough all the other times. Exactly the kind of profile that should be deputising for a player like Cucu and I’m glad Rosenoir trusted him from the day he came. Sarr was very impressive as well on his full debut. Just seems composed but obviously there will be tougher tests for him. Second half made up for that first half because initially we were starting to wonder why we were freezing our asses off watching our players just pass the ball in our own half. Entertaining and productive second half and hopefully a confidence builder for Delap too. Onwards and upwards.

Anyone naming Hato as a bad signing is genuinely stupid, he’s literally 19, the talent is there he’s just a bit raw, have no doubt he’ll be an immense player when he puts it all together.

This went better than I thought.

I cant remember the last time I watched a game and felt relaxed like this. What a nice change lol. Thought everyone did well. Delap looked hungry to score and not locked in his head for once. Overall good game.

Delap had a great game. His roll pass for SteveO’s goal was mint.
H
Hascio • 1 points
He looked like a different Delap to me today, he got his head out of the miss quickly and just focused on helping the team. I’d love to see that hold up play again please
A
Apprehensive_Bit_176 • 1 points
Yeah that miss was a damn shame… would have been great to see his effort rewarded with a goal there
S
Specialist_Media_869 • 1 points
Lesson learned tho he won’t fanny about wondering in future
H
Hascio • 1 points
Still he seemed really happy to get his efforts rewarded with the assists. I think if he just gained confidence the goals will come.

I agree, so why bring the negativity?
D

Cuz Delap sucks and is obvious downgrade from Jackson.
W
Whirly315 • 1 points
you’re not wrong, but jackson is the one who refused to fight for his place and play second fiddle to harry kane

Fit_Help_888 • 1 points
Fair , sorry bout that . Just randomly commented as I only saw first half, and he missed the open net

No worries brother, have a good one

I see people throwing shade at hill. They’re fighting for promotion to the PL and we made them look second rate. Other than the Leeds and arsenal games we’ve looked really good. Especially while rotating the squad
S
Spiritual-Back9921 • 1 points
We looked good against Leeds. We had stupid moments and they robbed us of a result—rightfully so, but the way we played the first 60 minutes and during the dying embers of the match was excellent IMO.

Good redemption for some players Hopefully this translates well against actual good opponents
L

I couldn’t watch the game. How did Sarr do? Probably a pretty easy day given the opponents.
A
Apprehensive_Bit_176 • 1 points
His long ball for SteveO was perfect. Should have gotten him an assist.

_WhoCares • 1 points
Had a very good game, should’ve had an assist if Estevao finished the chance.

I already said this in the match thread, but Hato is quite good and has been quite good in the last few games. He may not be a lamine yamal type of talent and skill level, but the difference between him and someone like gittens is that although both young, hato was already very solid at ajax and literally captained them. Whereas gittens was extremely mid at dortmund bar a few games. THESE are the types of players we should be buying if our policy is to buy young players for the future. Ones that have talent but also have already proven themselves to be solid at a high level. [](https://www.reddit.com/commentstats/t1_o58filo)

I think Hato mentality is a big plus . Gittens time to time played like he was scared of something . Hato even after his bad performance in CL always seems confident when giving a chance
B
belugadawen • 1 points
I’d agree but comparing a defender with wingers is pointless
G
Grizelda179 • 1 points
It’s really not. It’s about the skill at their position, not about their position itself.
T
Tom_Lad • 1 points
Comparing a young LB to the best young player in the world in a different position? Yeah it’s pretty pointless bruh
G

You are entirely missing the point is all I can say mate..

Delap assist king

Lads, it’s Hull City not Man City, let’s not overreact to results. We’ve performed like we should’ve performed, but in no way this is any sort of indication of quality (or lack of) that we have at disposal.
B
bdwolin • 1 points
It tells me that Delap is what I thought he was, which is a Championship League level player
S
silviazbitch • 1 points
I wasn’t thrilled with the Delap signing, but I’m not ready to write him off either. He picked up a pretty bad injury shortly after we signed him. Here’s hoping this is the beginning of a redemption arc similar to Cucurella’s.

He scored what, 12 goals for Ipswich last season? Granted they were mostly on the counter, but he has skill. Just needs time to adjust. We’re fine with JP starting and having Delap as a change of pace when needed.
B
bdwolin • 1 points
Yeah. I don’t think he’s the right fit for our system. Too slow. Back to the goal type guy
A
Apprehensive_Bit_176 • 1 points
Fair, but Olivier was slow too, and he was a damn good target man
G
Grizelda179 • 1 points
Well it’s certainly an improvement over what maresca had done against lower league sides, so it is a good sign for sure.

It was good to see Hato, Sarr get minutes and we didn’t need to risk Palmer. Just a shame that none of our backup mids are fit and we had to play Caicedo/Enzo in a cup match. If only Lavia/Essugo weren’t made of glass!

Neto in CENTRAL POCKET seems pretty effective After vs Barcelona. Is there nay possbility Palmer and Neto play alongside in each half spaces?
