You see them say Coby Kon and Sion immediately made a UNC Duke bet when they met 🤣

Yes 🤣🤣 Love seeing Duke and UNC players on the same team 😅

As a Tulane fan it’s so sad seeing everyone associate Sion with Duke. Ik that’s where he graduated and it’s arguably the biggest basketball school so i understand it, but man he was so good for us and I wanted him to stay. Glad he’s doing well in the league tho
O
ohimemberrr • 7 points
As a Duke fan, thank you for him. He was so much fun to watch last year and such a great leader which was exactly what that team needed. Absolute shame he was 99% likely concussed towards the end of the UH game.

Nothing fraud about y’all, you’re legit. Y’all could make some serious noise if you get into the playoffs
A
A_MASSIVE_PERVERT • 235 points
The Rockets are the biggest frauds in the West even bigger than the Lakers. It’s not entirely their fault though the FVV and now the Adams injury really fucked them over.
9
99Sold • 194 points
Amen not progressing is what actually fucked them. Rockets are banking on him becoming an actual star Amen and Sengun will never work together in terms of actually competing
C
coolycooly • 65 points
I don’t think they are this bad just because of Amen, Sengun is very inconsistent, Jabari Smith is just slightly better than an average 3 and D, and Reed Sheppard does nothing with his cold streak right now. Its basically KD dropping 25 a night and everyone else is just bad or inconsistent.
I
ImWicked39 • 32 points
Sounds like the Suns last year.
O
Ok_Possible_5702 • 111 points
I will never understand the whole “but what if Amen develops a 3P shot”. Dude has been a professional basketball player for like 8 years. If he’s this bad of a shooter after so much practice, odds are he’ll never become a good one.
M
MambaSaidKnockYouOut • 90 points
I feel like “If he develops a 3 point shot” is such lazy analysis for a guy who basically doesn’t shoot 3’s at all. There’s a difference between being a bad 3 point shooter and basically not shooting 3’s. People will try to mention Kawhi and Jason Kidd as guys who became good shooters, but those guys came into the league as willing 3 point shooters -they just weren’t good at it. At least they were mentally prepared to shoot 3’s, they weren’t learning a new skill, they were just improving on one. Amen is basically a non-shooter, he’s like one rung above Ben Simmons. Guys who come into the league with that low of a volume almost never become good shooters, and they almost never become guys who shoot 3’s at a decent volume. His best-case scenario would be late-career Rondo.
Y
YizWasHere • 25 points
Rondo’s a good comp there, what I’ll give Amen is that he at least improved as a FT shooter which could be a positive sign. One of the things that really made Rondo seem hopeless was that he couldn’t even get above 65% as a FT shooter.
I
ImARebelBitch • 23 points
He’s two rungs below pre-injury Ben imo.
M
MambaSaidKnockYouOut • 21 points
I’m talking about as a shooter. Ben really didn’t take any threes – he took 34 total threes as a 76er. Amen has taken over 1 three a game in each of the past two seasons. He clearly doesn’t want to shoot threes yet, but Ben seemed physically incapable of shooting from behind the arc lol
D
DrButtLump • 33 points
i agree he probably will never be a decent shooter but wdym 8 years? he was 15 8 years ago. it’s his 3rd year in the nba
9
99Sold • 10 points
Agreed it’s never happening. People just want to envision it and fans want it to be true Fans have been obsessed with the athletic non shooter for a very long time now
T
TallGothVampireLady • 3 points
sounds like ben simmons
O
Ok_Possible_5702 • 11 points
Ben Simmons was 6’10”, it’s easier to be a non-shooter at that height. And even just 5 years ago it was less damaging to be a non-threat from 3.
T
TGirlJules_ • 12 points
Ben also was an amazing playmaker and all nba defense
S
Sc0rch1ngDr4g0n • 13 points
FVV and Adams were what our entire game plan was built around: stack possessions by controlling TOs and getting OREBs. Force through inefficiency with volume. They were the glue and KD was the tape. KD, as good as he’s been, cannot hold everything together by himself.

I hate the use of “fraud” to say a team is overrated, because it implies they are pretending to be something they or not, or that the team is somehow “disingenuous” which is, frankly, a weird way of looking at it.

Our coach has lost the locker room. No one was pumping each other, no communication, no effort. He can’t figure out an offense and when I spoke to Celtics fans yesterday they said it was the same exact issue they had when he was there. He’s also supposed to be some defensive genius but can’t adapt to the fact that consistently we allow teams to rain 3s on us, lanes get open etc. He also just basically threw Alpy under the bus saying he can’t defend in the presser despite Alpy being injured but having to play as we’d be worse off without him. He also refuses to develop Reed which is partly why he’s in a shooting slump I imagine along with essentially being a rookie as he barely got playing time last season. A lot of us want him gone. Our offensive scheme is the same shit as last season, just no true 1 guard. Fred covered it up but even then we were calling out. It’s just now more obvious I legitimately want the dude fired. His whole fucking “fuck everyone we the dogs” culture is evaporated and he’s blaming the guys in the fucking press conference on how they won’t play with energy. His go to is “we got punked” but refuses to take accountability
G
gradedonacurve • 20 points
People kinda forget he had almost completely lost the Celtics locker room too and people were talking about breaking up the Jays and blowing the team and then they just turned it around at the halfway point and made a Finals run (the 21-22 season). So I guess this means it could still go the other way, lol.
