Don Lemon is currently trending due to his arrest related to a nationwide protest against ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). The event has garnered significant media attention, particularly in connection with Lemon’s involvement in a church protest in Minnesota. This incident has likely contributed to the surge in search interest, as the arrest of a well-known figure attracts public curiosity and concern.

The recent news reports indicate that Lemon’s arrest came during a larger coordinated effort to protest ICE operations, which has implications for immigration policy and civil rights. This national context enhances the urgency and relevance of the story, prompting more individuals to seek information about the situation and Lemon’s role in the protest.

Additionally, the legal developments surrounding the case, including an appeals court’s rejection of the Department of Justice’s emergency bid to arrest Lemon and other demonstrators, further highlight the contentious nature of the events. Such legal battles tend to attract scrutiny and encourage further searches as people look for updates and details pertaining to the case.

The combination of Lemon’s high-profile status, the nationwide implications of the protest, and ongoing legal challenges has collectively generated significant search interest, resulting in over one million searches related to him and the unfolding situation.

We are arresting the press, but not the people in the streets who are assassinating our citizens for protesting and people still support this fascist regime. Fuck anybody who likes Donald Trump and votes for him.

cut them all off, cold turkey. Make them wonder. Don’t reply to them. Don’t tell them why. Family, Friends, Business, Coworkers, Relatives. Exile them, I have My real family is my fellow citizens who give a fuck.

I’m getting married in 8 days. My entire family is hard MAGA. We haven’t spoken in over a year. I will have no family at my wedding. Kinda sad. But I’d rather this than deal with Trump knob slobbers. Edit- lmao at the DMs from pedophile defenders im getting. I’m very happy not having fucking Nazis at my wedding.
C
Cowboys69 • 157 points
Sad for a bit, but remember they hate you. They just don’t have the balls to stand up and say it directly. Their policy is hate and retribution. No morals, no values, no spine. I don’t need or want people like that dragging me down. Being stuck to someone because they’re “Family” makes no sense. The people who remain just become closer and that is what really matters. I have a birthday in 2 months where we celebrate everyone’s birthday that quarter. My republican in laws are going to be surprised when either I don’t show up for my own birthday, or they don’t let the traitors come to dinner. I won’t lose sleep but it sure will piss them off. Remember theyre a small minority with a big voice, the 60 percent of fence sitters are who I’d spend more time convincing

not just hate, they want them dead. These people are cheering on americans being killed because they arent part of their cult. *They want us all dead*. There is no reconciling with these people, they might as well be pointing a gun to you now if they are cheering on and celebrating when others do.

The US really missed a trick by not putting this fucking shit behind bars after Jan 6th. Now we’re seeing the inevitable consequences.

Exact same thing that happened after the Civil War. Reconstruction failed to treat the traitors harshly and ended up with this BS.

Learning requires consequences. When the ones making the decisions never see any consequences, there can be no learning. Nixxon should not have been pardoned. Bush or Cheney or whoever was the primary mind behind the push of the WMD lie in Iraq should have gone to prison. A lot of finance CEOs should have been made destitute by punitive fines. None of those happened. No consequences for the ones making the decisions. End result, nothing is learned, and it all happens again. Rich and powerful fuck around all the time, but never get to the find out stage. Without that finding out, there shall be no climbing out of the pit they, and we, dug for our entire society. And I mean that globally, not just US.
P
Personal-Rock-3697 • 106 points
Oh they learned alright, they learned there’s no rela consequences so they’ll do again bc even though the rest of us get screwed, they mostly get what they want. Until people are sufficiently punished, these things will always happen.
L
lacyydaisyy345 • 38 points
Without real consequences, there’s zero incentive to change behavior. When the people with power never have to answer for the damage they cause, the lesson learned is “do it again.” Accountability isn’t about revenge it’s how societies actually grow and avoid repeating the same disasters over and over.

It’s because we keep electing politicians who claim to be at odds with each other in public but are funded by and subsequently answer to the same people. If the candidate you’re voting for takes corporate or dark PAC money, they don’t work for you and anything they say in public is just a part of their kayfabe persona.

I’m really not sure what people expected. Both times a very large group were basically shouting “We want to overthrow the rightfully elected government.” Then actually tried to overthrow said government. The attempts failed, but the insurrectionists were left to continue meeting and planning AND VOTING. So here we are, the world left to deal with the mess past American leaders were too cowardly to deal with.

>Exact same thing that happened after the Civil War. We failed to treat the traitors harshly and ended up with this BS. AND the Beerhall Putsch of 1924. With “the BS we ended up with” being WW2 and the Holocaust. So if the entire world going to war, entire cities being razed to the ground, and the industrialized slaughter of 6 million innocent civilians wasn’t a stern enough consequence to teach us to NEVER tolerate intolerance, its all but guaranteed we won’t learn shit from this whole thing either.
L
LaForge_Maneuver • 12 points
we actively fund a genocide today. Not only did we not learn we leaned into it. Instead of arresting Bibi we fund him, just insanity.

Karl Popper’s Paradox of Intolerance could use an addendum on the cycle of abuse and how quickly (generationally speaking) the victim becomes the violator, fostering even more intolerance on the sides of both the new victims and new violators. Whether it be a single abused person, or an entire abused people, when you allow the guilt from your previous inaction to tolerate intolerance on the part of the abused, and the abused are willing to leverage that guilt into tolerated acts of abusive intolerance, the cycle of abuse begins again and intolerance finds another place to thrive. And thats how you end up with Jewish Nazis. And that little fucking shit Olly from Game Of Thrones.

Same thing with Hitler but at least they put him behind bars for a little bit the first time he tried to overthrow the government… Then let him out early and the rest is history.

I’m a substitute teacher. I was in an 8th grade US history class yesterday where the kids watched a video on Reconstruction. They had to take notes on whether or not Reconstruction was successful or not. Luckily, for those that are paying attention, the point that Reconstruction was heavily neutered got through. Some even made the connections between Johnson pardoning/accepting the rebel states and their leaders back into the union with the January 6 insurrectionists getting pardoned as well. Granted, I’m in a very blue city on the west coast, but I do feel slightly less cynical knowing this is part of the curriculum and that it is getting through for some of the kids. Today we’re going to look at some 1st hand accounts of KKK activity and recruitment flyers throughout history.

No one in power wanted to set the precedent that a powerful person can be held accountable for crimes in office. So we got a criminal reelected president who is now twisting the law to become a dictator

Remember how angry Republicans were when Biden did this? Oh wait, they lost their minds because the Biden Administration called Facebook and asked them not to publish demonstrably false health information that could get people killed.

It’s almost like Republicans are hell bent on damaging this country at every level because it was handled by Democrats at some point. They’re all traitors and we have established consequences for that.

Legal Eagle did a solid video about how these arrests are for the memes. Get the headline, post the (edited) photo to socials, judge refuses cases, downgrade to misdemeanor and resolve. While fascism is absolutely part of the equation, it has been revelatory to realize how much this is an attention economy administration.

>While fascism is absolutely part of the equation, it has been revelatory to realize how much this is an attention economy administration. Under Umberto Eco’s 14 properties of ur-Fascism, I would say this falls under “the cult of action for action’s sake” They arrested Lemon – will the charges stand? Absolutely not, but for the fascist it is important to look like you’re doing something even if that something is useless/dumb. Basically, managing the attention economy IS part of the fascist playbook.
