The topic of “Mckenna Kindred” is trending due to alarming reports about her involvement in a sexual relationship with a teenage student. Recent articles have detailed the predatory nature of this affair, including a shocking revelation about a three-hour sexual encounter and the disturbing text messages she allegedly sent to the student. This information has sparked significant public interest and concern.

The high volume of searches can be attributed to the sensational nature of the allegations, which involve not only the misconduct of a teacher but also the manipulative tactics used to conceal the affair. The explicit details surrounding the relationship, including the graphic descriptions and the emotional manipulation involved, have further fueled curiosity and outrage.

Additionally, the coverage from multiple reputable news sources has amplified the visibility of the story. Headlines characterizing Mckenna Kindred as a “sicko teacher” and highlighting the explicit content of the messages are likely to draw in a wide audience, contributing to the surge in search interest. The convergence of these factors has made the topic particularly newsworthy and widely discussed at this time.

I know some people that had sexual contact at too young of an age. Men and women. It fucks you up. They struggle to have a healthy relationship with sex and it can cause a lifetime of struggle. This is only appealing to people that don’t know any better.

Or virgins who don’t understand consent or power dynamics. https://preview.redd.it/y7s36rvqvbgg1.png?width=400&format=png&auto=webp&s=d03982ba07e232a2b0297914ad3fcf9690b095c2

There was a famous “hot teacher” case in my town where the kid actively pursued the teacher and really really wanted it, so it’d be hard to say it was an abuse of power or grooming situation. But bitch you need to be the fucking adult in the room if you want to work with kids.
B
Boricinha • 43 points
Yeah, fucking adults would be a great start!

I had a hot 27 year old English teacher as a senior and some of the guys would flirt back and forth with her in class. It was all very weird.
D
dog_ningen_ • 7 points
I highly highly highly doubt the kid just pursued and the teacher gave in. Far more likely is that the teacher deliberately got closer than they should have and made the kid feel like their relationship was intimate enough that pursuing was something that could work. There’s that one case where when the kid grew up he married the teacher that raped him, but eventually realized how much she manipulated him. There’s even an interview where the teacher kept saying HE was the boss and he correctly pointed out he was only the pursuer, not the boss of his adult teacher.

This case is pretty much the same. The teacher is from a hardcore mormon family (i’m pretty sure that’s why her husband is still with her). Having read the texts he sent in an article that also states *”Gossip about the encounter spread around Central Valley High School, where Kindred worked and where the teen was known among friends as being ‘addicted to sex.’ “* makes me think and feel this is pretty similar to the case in your town. It’s gross, but quite interesting at the same time. Is the mental age for stuff like sex sometimes lower for super religious & sheltered young adults like the teacher?

The guy was 17 and initiated things according to the article. The teacher was 23. Now I’m not condoning her actions in any way, it’s just not rape.
D

It’s still very unprofessional to do.

D
DJCockslap • 2 points
Pretty big gap between “unprofessional” and “rape”.
C
chillanous • 127 points
The power dynamics are still problematic to the point that it needs to be illegal. If they want to wait until he is of-age and no longer one of her students, they are free to.
B
Boricinha • 89 points
People have a **really hard time** understanding power dynamics, some even romanticize the unbalanced aspect of it. Which is, beyond problematic to say the least.
K
Kotoy77 • 9 points
I think people understand it well, they just dont care about it or see it as a big deal
S
SpottedWobbegong • 44 points
It is illegal, she was sentenced to first degree sexual misconduct whatever that is. It may be just my point of view, because the equivalent word of rape in my language is used only for the use of force to coerce sex, so my first reaction to rape is that.
C
chillanous • 21 points
While it certainly wasn’t forcible rape, it does meet both the legal and practical definitions of statutory rape. Because of the skewed power dynamics of the teacher/student relationship and the minor/adult age gap, the circumstances are considered inherently coercive such that the child cannot legally consent to sex. Is statutory rape a good name for this crime? Maybe, maybe not. It’s possible it would be better to have a different legal term for the offense that doesn’t imply physical force was used. But that’s really a verbiage argument and has nothing to do with the crime committed.
F
FactPirate • 17 points
Statuatory rape would not apply if it wasn’t for the teacher aspect. The age of consent in Washington is 16
M
marshinghost • 12 points
I agree with this point, theres a supervisor/pupil dynamic that makes this wrong.
T
terranproby42 • 47 points
17 is still statutory, and even if he was over 18, sex with a student of any age breaches academic professional standards and disqualifies you from teaching due to inability to fairly judge students
S
Sven4president • 23 points
Depends on the age of consent of the place it happened in. There is also a power difference.
S
Sweaty-Ruin5381 • 13 points
I think that still counts as statutory rape in a legal sense, but yeah that 17 year old probably doesn’t feel like a victim.
V
Venomswindturd • 9 points
The child initiated it and it’s not rape?
B
Boricinha • 21 points
Exactly, we should totally trust the judgement of children/teenagers, they are the ones that knows what’s up, it’s not like they are on their formative years and their brains are basically playdoh until they are 20.
V
Venomswindturd • 9 points
“Fucking kids is ok actually because he’s basically an adult. 14 isn’t that far away either!”
F
FalseDrive • 13 points
That is the problem with people saying “he was 17, it can’t _really_ be rape.” Where is the line drawn? 16.5 is almost 17. 16 is closer to 17 than 15 and is the age of consent in some states. 15 is almost 16, etc etc. The line of legality is firmly drawn at 18 for a reason.
B
Boricinha • 12 points
Let’s fuck the 12 year old just to be safe *- Some teacher probably*
M
MisterGoo • 5 points
Which is why they’re allowed to drive at 16? So you can drive at 16 but can,t decide who to have sex with until 20 because your brain is play-doh? Are you OK?
V
Venomswindturd • 3 points
“If you can drive adults should be allowed to fuck you” What?!
S
Spread_Bater • 1 points
Or just have relationships with other 16 year olds?
R
realquidos • 15 points
17 and 23 was completely normal until a few decades ago. Calling it child rape is minimizing actual child rape victims trauma.
V
Venomswindturd • 0 points
Child brides used to be completely normal too. How does calling out and bringing awareness to sexual abuse minimize sexual abuse victims? A teacher fucking their minor student is still traumatizing.
R
realquidos • 7 points
Calling it child rape is wrong, because it paints a completely wrong picture in people’s minds.
V
Venomswindturd • 2 points
Rape of a minor better for you?
C
CowboysfromLydia • 2 points
So in your mind there is no difference between a 50 years old grooming a 14 year old kid, and a 19 years old with a 17 and 364 days. Then, the same boomer doing the exact same thing with a 18 year old is perfectly fine, cool even.
V
Venomswindturd • 1 points
How did me being against rape of a minor lead you to asking me if it’s cool for an adult to fuck a teenager lol. Romeo and Juliet laws answer the second question. So yeah there’s a difference. I don’t think it’s cool. I think it’s gross, but legally what can I do. Are you advocating for the legal fucking of a 17 year old? If so, would you watch porn of a 17 year old?
M
Mean_Introduction543 • 0 points
Are you actually defending the rape of a minor? Who the fuck is upvoting this? It doesn’t matter if he was 17 or 12, he is still a minor and she is an adult and his teacher to boot. Even if he initiated it’s her job to shut that the fuck down.
T
Thanatine • 5 points
I agree with you but had the gender reversed… Rape will be the only word all over this topic.
L
Lord_Chromosome • 1 points
The age of consent in Idaho is 18, so it is absolutely Statutory rape.

The kid is innocent, they didn’t do anything wrong. The responsibility is fully on the teacher It’s expected that minors (at least post-puberty) may develop a crush or try to hit on their teacher, especially when they’re young/attractive. That’s why it’s gross that she’d take advantage of the opportunity and abuse her position. No one should be blaming the 17 year old.
A
ArcboundRavager990 • 125 points
Dude, the guy was 17, not 9. 17 isn’t “too young age” I’m not defending the teacher but 17 isn’t definitely “too young to have sex” (Maybe just for neopuritanism)
B
BEWMarth • 102 points
What do you mean? No one is legally allowed to have sex until they are 25.
B
Boricinha • 51 points
What do you mean 25? nobody is allowed to have sex **UNTIL THEY GET MARRIED** *(butt and oral is allowed tho, only if they are not the same gender).* Source: The Bible probably, i never read to be sure.
