The keyword “lego crocs” is trending due to recent announcements regarding a partnership between LEGO and Crocs. This collaboration has generated significant interest as it combines two popular brands known for their distinctive styles, attracting attention from both LEGO enthusiasts and Crocs fans alike. The unveiling of the new brick-shaped clogs, which was first reported by an unknown source, adds an innovative twist that is likely fueling search interest.

Additionally, the launch of Crocs x LEGO shoes at Paris Fashion Week by artist Tommy Cash has further amplified curiosity around this collaboration. High-profile events like fashion weeks often generate buzz and drive consumer searches, especially when they showcase unique collaborations. The involvement of a notable figure like Tommy Cash serves to elevate the perceived value and exclusivity of the product, contributing to the spike in search interest.

Furthermore, the formal announcement of a multi-year partnership between LEGO and Crocs has solidified the collaboration, marking it as a significant development in both brands’ marketing strategies. Such long-term partnerships typically generate ongoing excitement and speculation about future product releases, which can lead to increased online searches as consumers seek to learn more about the range and availability of the new offerings.

If they’re not called “Blocs”, then what are we doing?
R
rbfb • 505 points
Well the manufacturer’s name would still need to be included, so… Croc Blocs?
G
GregnantMan • 238 points
HA ! Easily croc blocked !

You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for a situation to pull this bad boy out
G
GregnantMan • 2 points
I have actually no idea what this is lmao
C
CrazyDave48 • 105 points
With the way Lego handles their branding, I don’t think they want them called anything related to “blocks”. They seem to never want to use that word.
T
TheShakyHandsMan • 46 points
Too similar to mega bloks so trying to avoid confusion
D
Drewdiniskirino • 18 points
Are they still Mega Bloks? I thought they were called Mega Construx now
T
theycmeroll • 25 points
They are but people still commonly call the Mega Blocks
D
Drewdiniskirino • 6 points
Ahh I see, I see
R
randalldandall518 • 2 points
Mega bloks still refers to the original size. Junior is duplo sized, and construx is Lego sized
T
theycmeroll • 2 points
The Lego sized were actually called Mega Bloks Micro, but they were all Mega Bloks brand and even the micro ones prominently displayed the Mega Bloks logo. So every one just called them Mega Bloks regardless of size. They changed to Construx after they sold out to Mattel
T
TarantulaCaptain • 13 points
Mega Bloks > Mega Construx > Mega > Mattel Brickshop
R
randalldandall518 • 2 points
Actually it’s still mega bloks for the original big version. Then mega bloks junior for the duplo compatible, and mega construx for Lego compatible
G
Gelven • 7 points
It’s because blocks is a general term and can dilute the brand, which can lead to trademark issues
T
TheShakyHandsMan • 6 points
I’d argue that bricks is a far more general term.
K
King_of_the_Dot • 2 points
But only morons would be confused by this.
P
Perryplat199 • 8 points
I’d geuss only Bricks and Pieces are acceptable.(Based on the service of the same name). Nver block.
L
LandArch_0 • 4 points
So “Cricks”? Clearly I don’t work at branding haha
S
StephenKakaris • 2 points
Maybe Brocs?
N
Noble_Flatulence • 2 points
Brics
B
Buttholelickerpenis • 8 points
Lego prefers the term “bricks” to “blocks”
B
Basic_Poetry5190 • 761 points
199 €… they are completely gone nuts
S
ScribScrob • 351 points
THEYRE WHAT???? thats almost as expensive as my special wide running shoes 💀 I would pay maybe $30 for these things not 200
D
Dovahpriest • 96 points
“Only” $150 USD if you’re in the US.
P
Power_Shower • 32 points
What? They’re $199.99 on the Lego site in the US
C
ContentKeanu • 11 points
Ok, I try to be open minded to fashion and stuff. But these are just stupid and ugly as hell and the fact that they cost $200 is only gonna make me disrespect whoever’s wearing them even harder lol
D
Dovahpriest • 12 points
They’re $150 if you check the Crocs site.
S
ScribScrob • 23 points
Ah got my conversion backwards 💀 but holy damn that shit better walk for me at that rate. Cause unless I’m misremembering, crocs are just molded foam? So like what the hell is making these cost so much?
P
popsicle_of_meat • 12 points
Branding, limited production (tooling ain’t cheap and there’s not going to be many units to share the cost), “because people will pay it”
M
M1dor1 • 5 points
because US prices are before taxes
K
keeper_of_the_donkey • 15 points
The foam crap they make them out of probably only cost about 5¢ per shoe
B
Bamres • 3 points
You’ll probably see reps soon for less, maybe not 30 but $50
B
beermit • 7 points
Regular pairs MSRP for $50 which already seems like a stretch. $200 for special Lego brick shaped versions is just absurd.
D
DeadbeatGremlin • 12 points
and you can’t even click them on top of eachother like you do with actual lego bricks
C
CarelessDot3267 • 56 points
It’s sad that Lego is so greedy, since it’s a family owned firm and not a publicly listed company. They don’t have the issues of shareholders being able to pressure for cutting costs and such. They can dictate practically whatever they like. The family’s net worth is already above 25B USD, the GDP of a small country. How much money is enough?
C
Colbzilla • 48 points
Yeah but Crocs also overcharge for any of these type of collabs so these were destined to be through the roof expensive
E
elfishgolem • 8 points
See that’s where i’m even more mad about this pricing. Crocs collab can be expensive but there’re also some reasonable “slightly pricey” level of pricing. The windows xp collab last year was under $80, and has sets of accessories included.
B
Basic_Poetry5190 • 22 points
tax the rich… and we should simply stop to buy that overpriced stickers shit
L
Lemonpierogi • 10 points
I’m pretty sure they’re taxed a ton in Denmark
T
ThrowTheBrick • 7 points
Pretty expensive to basically look like Kevin at Jim and Pam’s wedding
J
Jaffacakelover • 5 points
£199.99 / $199.99 / €199.99 according to Brick Fanatics… dat 1:1 price conversion.
3
3MATX • 5 points
Yep, gonna be a pass.
B
BookishHobbit • 13 points
I feel like you could 3D print a pair and they’d be the same. Though no one with any sanity would do that.
T
TheShakyHandsMan • 14 points
Roll of TPU about £20. Maybe a second roll at a push.
