Yeah because they bottled the 3 major competitions they were in, that team gets snubbed like no other. They were just unlucky in the end. Especially considering they had an ageing roster and Thuram not up to his best form. But I guess we are at the age of basing football knowledge through tik toks and reels.

Yeah, I think it’s a very modern mentality to talk about everybody bottling it all the time, too. A lot of the time we’re talking about teams that are at a competitive disadvantage losing to richer and better sides. In Inter’s case, they are in a genuinely competitive league, and playing so many extra games really didn’t help them when there was no respite from one week to the next. It’s the same this season – the top 5 in Serie A could all still win the league.
