Exactly this! I logged in AND it is no where to be seen. So NOW I have to go back to customer service just to get what I should already be getting. I swear I’m going to switch in another 6 months if possible at that point.

Not true- I received the text message and clicked the link and followed the instructions from the text to click “take action” which simply provides a message noting the outage is resolved and provides no credit

So glad I switched to T mobile yesterday. Me and my family got service for like 40 minutes and drove to the t mobile store and switched. The sales lady said we were the 3rd whole family to switch because of it.

I recently was shown a “get an iphone17 pro on us” message. After going thru a long call with customer service who assured me that it wouldn’t require moving me to a new plan, I saw that they deceptively moved me to a plan that was $40 more a month after telling them I didn’t need it. I went into a Verizon corporate store a day later and an associate there said “well those customer service agents are sellers after all…”. This company has zero scruples. I’m over them.

Verizon plays around with credits too much. I was told I would get $20 off per line for staying as a customer, but I had to call in for it. I got sent to some Russian answering service who tried to haggle me down to $20 off for 3 months. I’m quitting, I have terrible coverage through them anyways

Twice now I’ve been promised credits that have not materialized. I am convinced they promise me the credits just to get me off the chat. The fact that I have a confirmation email and screenshots of the chat doesn’t seem to matter. Verizon customer service is laughable.

Because you will have to agree to never sue them for anything ever in perpetuity as well as never attempt to bring a class action suit or join a class action suit against them. That’s why you have to “Accept” it.

My whole neighborhood lost internet recently because the Verizon wire outside snapped / got cut. It went out before lunch on a workday and was down until afternoon the next day when a Verizon person was able to come out and look at it/fix it. The person on the phone was like don’t worry you will get a credit for the day we didn’t have service. Like oh great anyone working from home couldn’t work but we get a <$5 credit lol

Well giving a credit isn’t the same as giving money, tho the end result would be the same if I applied the money to my Verizon account I guess. It’s just annoying that the internet is so critical to everyday life and work, basically an essential utility, but when something goes down we get stuck waiting on penny pinching, understaffing Verizon to send someone to look. And if enough people don’t file a complaint about the downed internet, then it won’t even be noticed by them until their minimum threshold is met. They can just be so slow to fix things where the negative impact of their service being down for days is more impactful than $5.

Because it is a breach of contract and as such they are potentially liable for any damages incurred. For example remote workers not being able to work costs them more than the missing service. Examples where this is prominent would be lets say you’ve signed paperwork to close on my house but then back out. Its not as simple as undoing the contract because ive made multiple other decisions and financial choices based on our agreement which you’ve now broken and undoing those decisions will likely cost more than just the service but its ultimately your fault for breaking the agreement.

Yes, but this guy’s issue is completely different. He said the wire outside his house got cut, he didn’t say by whom, but that sounds unavoidable. I also highly doubt any contract you signed with any service provider guarantees and stipulates 100% uptime. I’m actually 100% sure any contract anyone signs with any of these companies stipulate there is no guarantee of 100% uptime. To expect 100% uptime for anything like this is utterly unrealistic. This whole “breach of contract” nonsense you’re spitting out is just completely made up.
