Maybe. But it could just be marketing too. When Bethesda shadow dropped the Oblivion Remaster they “accidentally” leaked a bunch of stuff on Steam and even on the developers website the week leading up to the announcement. So even if they take it down and make it seem like it’s an accident, it’s a good way to market and generate buzz (not that Pokémon necessarily needs to do that.)

Nintendo is actually fairly decent about supporting things for a long time. You could actually get replacement parts for the NES and SNES until 2007 and they’ve always had backwards compatibility when it was an option.

The switch is a touch screen. Honestly, I’ve been requently amazed they haven’t used that in any Pokemon game yet. They could make it a mini menu option to pull up. I’m just saying it can work

The issue with the DS games was somewhat present in BDSP, no matter what, a form of clunky-ness would be prevalent. Not to mention, that there are people who prefer to play the switch docked over handheld. So the use of the touchscreen cannot be a primary use for the games.

The only thing you actually NEED the touch screen for is pokeathalon. And with the new joycons being computer mice, I feel there’s definitely a solution available

They could do it in 2 years then, for the 30 year anniversary of GS, once they phase out the switch. There’s solutions here, it’s only a matter of time before they release them, they’ll literally print money
