Ballsy 2nd shot on 18. Had to start it over the water & the wind still moved it like 30yds.

And after staring at it for 20 minutes

gotta love that intense focus tho, really paid off in the end

Really loved the journey Bridgeman took while everyone watched. What’s he doing? Whys he walking back towards us? Then he gets a clutch up and down from 250 to save bogey what the fuck
T
themindisaweapon • 6 points
Yes it was clutch. Especially after the double-cross left on 17!
S
Sugarplumm-96 • 0 points
It was him against the wind. Congrats to him tho. Deserved!

Congratulations! Crazy windy condition out there not to mentioned he waited like 25 mins for his second shot in the final hole. He got it done.
E
Exact-Horror6379 • 111 points
Atleast Bridgman got his bogey save, that was getting hard to watch
B
Bay_area_415 • 49 points
If that was one of us on a regular round we’d be taking max and walking off not to slow things down
C
Commercial-Air8955 • 29 points
That was one of the best bogies I’ve ever seen lol… that looked like it had triple+ written all over it
H
HugeLeaves • 6 points
If I had watched that without really paying attention I would’ve assumed he at least tripled it. One of the crazier bogey saves I have ever seen
C
Commercial-Air8955 • 3 points
Ya, that was wild. I dont know if I’ve ever seen anyone use that rule before (i didnt know it was a thing tbh). I think they said by saving bogey it kept him in the top 10, and a earned him a ticket to into the Genesis next week too
R
Royal_Ad_913 • 2 points
So he was able to move the ball back to where second shot went out ? Even after hitting his third in the ocean ?
C
Commercial-Air8955 • 1 points
Ya
R
Royal_Ad_913 • 1 points
Yeah didn’t even know that was a thing looked it up. I just figured once you hit that shot you were shit out of luck definitely good to know.
G

Interesting decision to checks notes hit a long “bunker” shot from the literal pebbles of Pebble Beach
A
AnotherUnfunnyName • 11 points
A dartfest for 3 and a half rounds but he stood up and finished when it mattered and didn’t even flinch with all that delay (maybe used to it due to playing with Cantlay many times, even in a playoff) and the weather. But what could have been with this tournament with any kind of conditions.
K
killasin • 3 points
Cal team practices at metro in Oakland. The range always gets a right to left gust.. wonder if that helped
B
bayareadunks • 2 points
That metro range wind definitely be lying. Nooo that wasn’t a slice, twas but a power push fade!
A
Always_Chubb-y • 174 points
Another great tournament at Pebble! Kinda was hoping to see some crazy playoff at -20, but Morikawa getting back into the winners circle is a good alternative. On a side note, Scottie has basically spotted everyone a full 18 holes and still has come close the last 2 weeks.
D
Due-Dig-8955 • 15 points
I agree, it was a pretty good weekend of golf but Pebble have got to do something about that 18th green. The way the crowd are positioned makes for such lacklustre celebrations.
A
Always_Chubb-y • 11 points
It was a lot louder last week The weather forecast today scared a lot of people off
D
Due-Dig-8955 • -5 points
I get that but i think if Pebble wants to be considered alongside Augusta and St Andrews as one of golf’s iconic courses they need to allow spectators to get closer to that green. Could they maybe get rid of the bunker on the left of the green and put a grandstand there during tournaments?
A
Always_Chubb-y • 10 points
I dont think Pebble needs to do anything to establish itself as an “iconic course”. It already is. And if you think the stands arent close at Pebble, go look at St. Andrews when they last held The Open in 2022. It has less/similar amount of people around it than Pebble did today

lol scottie’s resilience is crazy, he’s always a threat no matter what. moirkawa definitely earned it tho.
R
Revolutionary-Bank35 • 2 points
I heard some rumors that his next appearance he is going to play the entire tournament blindfolded….and still finish T7 somehow.
M
MrBATX • 2 points
If Scottie doesn’t have the slow Thursday starts, he wins both
–
-ButterMyBiscuit- • 45 points
Just saw a Facebook post last week inferring he’ll probably never win again on tour.. Which is ridiculous but this makes it even funnier
T
TheEmulat0r • 17 points
Yea that’s such an insane take to say about someone that young and who has consistently been one of the highest rated golfers in the world even without wins. Him winning again was definitely inevitable. It’s not like he’s a rank 100+ player lmao.
V
VeniVediVici_yourMom • 5 points
Oh Facebook and social media in general was roasting Morikawa last week. Basically saying that unless the pin is on the back right every hole, he’ll never compete in a tourney.
B
BringMeTheBigKnife • 3 points
Implying, not inferring
E
epsteinwasmurdered2 • 3 points
I saw a Facebook post that said Kirby smart just left Georgia to go coach at Georgia tech… guess you can’t believe all the rage bait you see on Facebook after all lol

-ButterMyBiscuit- • 2 points
I agree it might have just been a post for interactions but there was a lot of people in the comments agreeing with it
B

Collin was just getting a ton of hate just a couple weeks back across a lot of golf media. Glad he won today
O
Onebigfreakinnerd • 61 points
he always seemed like a good dude. bummed akshay kinda choked it but i’m chilling
M
mozi88 • 40 points
I like Akshay a lot. He definitely seem to have the yips from time to time when it comes to last round finishes. Guy is still young so hopefully he can hold it steady.
T
TurtleSmile1 • 7 points
Totally. A couple years back he had a putt to win on the 18th green from distance (40 feet?). He ended up 3 putting and not even getting a playoff, which is such a gut punch. He’s so likeable, I hope he’s able to win some big ones in the future.
S
silentcmh • 32 points
Good to have him back on top. When he’s on form, he’s one of my favorites to watch.
J

His wife has a hell of a rock on her finger! And it was cool he announced they are expecting!

The amount of variance in golf week to week has to be damn near impossible to predict. Plus there’s no way most of those lines are sharp, there is a ton of vig baked in there
