The saddest part, for me, is how Juventini now sound just like Interisti used to back when Juve was winning constantly. I try to have faith in the referees actually doing the best they can. Mostly due to the fact that if I call corruption now, it would mean Juve also benefitted from corruption back in the day. Having watched football in Serie A for decades, I enjoy the theatrics, diving, gesturing and attitudes. At the same time, when it affects Juve negatively, I hate it with all of my heart. But it is a cultural problem in Italy that will never change. Better to just accept it and move on. Nothing will happen after a match like this. It’s Juve. No headlines, not sympathy, no banned ref (as if that actually solves anything), no nothing. At least Juve is playing with intent and grinta again. Let’s build on that.

This is a terrible take. Most football fans, especially those who have watched “for decades,” despise diving and bad refereeing. I despise it whether our players dive, which they hardly do, and I despise bad refereeing even if it benefits us. This holier than thou attitude you exhibit is part of the problem.
